Lightbulb LS/VTEC Cost ?? Anyone?

I'm thinking of going for Ls/VTEC for my 91 Integra RS.
I have AEM CAI/ JG TB/ DC Headers/HKS Hiper.

How much would it cost to do the complete job? Do I need to change anything such as Piston ? Rings ?? Tell me the budget of building a LS/VTEC.

Thanks for any input. I'm in Michigan.

1500-1600 for parts and labor -- this is just for the straight vtec head swap. the price goes even higher if u want to overhaul ur block. u have to pay for the high compression pistons, aftermarket rods or shot-peen 'em, bore and hone, change the bearings (if needed), balance the rotating assembly, etc.
then after that, u might have to purchase a vtec tranny.

u also have to make sure that there's a shop that can do the swap and has done the swap many times. u don't want to come across oil leaks or something because of a faulty job or something.

hth.

Usually the power ends up anywhere from 170-200hp at the wheels with somewhere around 130 to 145 foot pounds of torque. I've got a VTEC tranny that would bolt right up(its from a JDM Integra XSI)

i'm also considering LS/VTEC....but i don't know everything that i would need....i wish there was just like a package of parts you could buy that would be everything needed for LS/VTEC...then i could just take it to a shop and be done with it....anyone know a good website that gives a lot of info on LS/VTEC...like what you need and what's best??

The set-up will cost $850 from www.inlinefour.com and you have to buy an ECU, not bad considering all the modifications are done.
