Ahh, finally...That just about sums up my feelings on this movie. Why? I keep saying how I've been waiting for a new John Cusack romantic comedy. I personally thought that America's Sweethearts missed the target and this was the last chance for me. It hit, right on target.

This isn't the best movie ever made but it's got some very funny moments and very realistic characters. I was happy with the supporting cast as well as the leads. The best quality about this movie are the very human like characters and situations.

Usually destiny movies are overdone and become silly by the end, but somehow this movie manages to avoid that. I never felt as though this couldn't happen. John Cusack and Kate Beckinsale play two very average people who happen to meet by chance while Christmas shopping. Thru a string of events it's obvious to both of them that they were meant for each other, but as most of you have probably seen from the trailer, when Kate Beckinsale hands over her number to Cusack the wind blows it away and she views this as a sign that they shouldn't be together. So, after some pleading, Cusack convinces her to tempt fate.

He writes his name and number on a five dollar bill and she does the same inside a book. If either the book or the dollar gets back to the other, they're meant to be together. It's a sweet story that leads to a wild goose chase searching for each other. What I particularly like is the fact that the leads find what they're looking for when they've stopped trying and when they least expect it. The movie is adorable.

My only suggestion for improvement are funnier lines, most seem to be used in the trailer. But the film is sweet and enjoyable. Both Beckinsale and Cusack do a fantastic job and have lots of chemistry together. It's well worth your time and money and would make a good date movie.
