The Douglas Murders 1 was released on April, 1998.
The fictional book, "The Woodsborro Murders", as seen in the movie Scream 2, was the inspiration for the title for The Douglas Murders.
Nichole and Bethany are the first ever characters to be killed. They get killed in a car on their way home from a trip in Aspen while they're arguing over who was the killer in the original Scream.
Sabrina is introduced as the main character. She'll survive until Douglas Murders 3.
Constance Spano, the newsreporter that's a favorite with DM fans, is introduced here, and Sabrina punches her in the face.
The killer is revieled in a movie theatre showing I Know What You Did Last Summer, but unknown to anyone at the time, there's also a second killer waiting...
The other killer shows his true self at the end of the story.
At the VERY end, Sabrina opens her locker and Scott S.'s (not mine, I'm Scott K.) dead body falls out of it. Sabrina just says "Oh, well," and walks back to class.
