theater1.jpg (66198 bytes)Having worked at a local electronics chain here in New York for 3 years, I got to play around with a lot of gear.

My first Pro-Logic receiver was a Yamaha RXV 390 back in 1992. I loved that little guy!

Then I upgraded to an Onkyo model (model # escapes me) to which I added a NAD THX216 amp for the mains. This was overkill....even though I ran Polk Audio LS90's  with it. Everything was just too huge for a 10' x 15' room.

The latest change came last year when I sold all my Polk Audio speakers and bought the much more mellower sounding Paradigm 3seMk3 for the mains and a CC300 center.

theater2.jpg (70185 bytes)August 1997 I treated myself to a DVD played (Toshiba SD2006) which made me realize how bad the picture was on my laserdisc player (which I quickly dumped).

The SD 2006 was replaced last November with the latest SD 2108, which was recently replaced (thanks to the demise of DIVX) with the awsome Proscan PS 8680Z. Layer changes...what layer changes?

I use CANARE Interconnects for everything (Reciever to DD Processor, DVD to Processor, TV and VCR to Receiver). I cannot praise the quality of these cables enough. They are broadcast quality cables mostly used in TV studios and this place Markertek in Upstate NY will make any custom lenghts you need!!! Check out their website: www.markertek.com.
