Real Skateboarding
This page is for newbies and wanna-be skaters who
have just started out. Send me stuff, such as tips for beginners, your personal best
of ollies, and anything else that is interesting
This part of the site is dedicated to real skateboarding, not Tony Hawk's Pro
Skater. Here you will find movies for beginners, such as the ollie, kickflip, and
some of me skating. I started skating in June 2000, and have gotten pretty
good. I can ollie about 14 inches, and 50-50 grind a rail up at the local skate-pad.
I can also grind it, then drop off in mid-grind. If you have any advice, or videos of you
skating, please send them. If you are sending a video, make sure it isn't too big,
try to keep it under 3-5 megs, and zip it with WinZip. Thanks!
Last year I discovered a real skatepark nearby,
it's cool! It has a mini-ramp, a small spine, a funbox, a table, and a bunch of cool
rails and random ramps. I learned how to kickflip the day before Thanksgiving
(2001), and have just learned how to heelflip and boardslide. I like transferring
hips, although I am not that good at it yet. Some free advice: having your own stuff
is really good to learn on.
