The association was founded August 10, 1980 in Haviland, Kansas for the purpose of strengthening kinship ties, learning more about our Swiss ancestry, and combining resources for genealogical research.
This association has over 250 members and growing! With a $3.00 membership fee a newsletter is sent to all members three times a year.
January Issue: News, births, deaths, marriage announcements, celebrations, and articles of interest that have a general appeal.
May Issue: Contains a listing of the dates and locations of all known family reunions.
September Issue: Minutes of the annual meeting and a current membership list to assist with Christmas card mailings, etc.
"Queries" for family members trying to locate other family members and/or genealogical information will also be included in the newsletters by request.
The association has for sale a cookbook, and embroidered blazer emblems approximately 3 inches by 4 inches .
At the beginning of the new year, names, addresses and phone numbers will be collected from family members who are interested in a trip to Switzerland in about the year 2000.
