Sharon Tate Remembered.

January 24, 1943-August 9, 1969.

In Sharon Tate's very last interview which took place just two weeks before her death, European journalist Enrico di Pompeo asked if she believed in fate. "Certainly," she said. "My whole life has been decided by fate. I think something more powerful than we are decides our fate for us. I know one thing-I've never planned anything that ever happened to me."

Sharon and Roman Polanski.

"What I want out of life is happiness. I don't want money. I get $350 a week. I drive a Buick Rivera. I have all the clothes I want. I like myself. I'm glad I'm me. I'd like to have a baby, that would be the ultimate and just enjoy my life with those I love." Sharon in an interview in 1967.

Four stills from Sharon's first movie,"Eye of the Devil", a not terribly spooky horror film set in France starring David Niven, Deborah Kerr, Flora Robson, David Hemmings and Donald Pleasence.
It was not a huge success, but Sharon was superb and the camera captured every aspect of her flawless beauty. It was to be her first big break.

Around the time of the film's release Sharon did a session of shots that became known as the "Halsam Shots", she also posed for David Bailey and was widely acknowledged as being one of the most beautiful women in the world.

A shot of Sharon on the set of "The Fearless Vampire Killers", this was taken by Roman Polanski and appeared in the March 1967 issue of Playboy to publicise the film's release.
