All You Ever Wanted To Know

My name is Georgia Malone, i'm 19 years old and live in Perth in Western Australia. I am fun and exciting and like to watch movies.... geez... sound like i'm applying for a personal ad... hmmm...

Anyway, I completed my final year at a crappy all girls school... which I despise and am extremely glad it is over... but that was a year and a half ago...and now i'm taking a play that i did earlier this year there to educate the children...aren't i compasionate...yeah..whatever!

As you probably gathered I watch a lot of films, at school everyone used to call me the film 'guru' though i personally don't think i've seen enough. And now that I'm at Uni, it's a whole different story...nearly everyone is worse than me! i actually have a competition running with one of my friends..but he always wins... but he is 24 and has 5 years on me... so that's my excuse... The films I like are the 'different' films. I keep as far away from the mainstream Hollywood as possible. I also highly recommend any recent Australian films as they are becoming some of the best in the world *sm*

When it comes to reading, I'm sure I'd read a lot if i had the time.. but i don't... so i don't really read...so i think talking about what i read would be HIGHLY irrelevant at this time!

Now, to music. As those who know me probably know, I LOVE Nick Cave, those who know nothing about him check out This site and this one. Nick Cave is a great man, been around for many years, and is well worth checking out. I saw him live in concert at the Big Day Out here in Perth (for those 'non' Australians, the BDO is a all day music festvial type thing, mail me if you wanna know more). It was an amazing concert, he had the most amazing stage presence. I saw him again when he returned to Perth on the 1st of December 1997, it was one amazing concert, one i am going to remember for years to come.

I also love the stage. I dont' really act...though i used to try...but i gave up and decided focussing on something i could do really well in... bossing people around and telling them what to do...i'm a stage manager. I have worked on quite a few shows in the past year and a half and am steadily building up a decent resume, experience and reputation.

Now that i have left school and have all of that behind me I am studying Media at Edith Cowen University here in Perth, and i love it. I hope to specialise in and focus more on film and one day i shall be a film producer, out there telling people what to do, organising and making sure everything works perfectly... and one day my films will grace the screens of the Cannes film festival, one day, I'll get there! I'll let you know when it happens. *sm*

well...that's about it really... nothing greatly exciting... nothing you REALLY need to know...
