Charlotte Church

Charlotte ChurchAt only 13, Charlotte Church is the youngest solo artist ever to achieve a Top 30 album in the US charts. When Charlotte was 11 years old, she performed "Pie Jesu" on the television show Talking Telephone Numbers in 1997. After her outstanding performance there, Sony Music UK Chairman and the Chief Executive offered Charlotte a multi-album deal.

Charlotte's first album, Voice of an Angel, sold 600,000 copies in the UK reaching Double Platinum status. She then became the youngest artist ever to hit #1 on the classical charts, and the youngest artist ever to hit within the top 5 in the UK. After that, Charlotte went Gold in the US, performing on shows such as the David Letterman Show, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,The Today Show, Good Morning America, Rosie O'Donnell and Oprah. And on the eve of New Years, 1999, Charlotte had been invited to sing for the Pope, and for the President of the United States, but she declined both offers in order to spend New Years with her family.

In addition to making time for her soaring, angelic vocals to touch the nations, Charlotte also makes time for her studies. Education is very important to her, and she continues to make high marks in all of her courses. To put it lightly, Charlotte Church is astounding in every sense of the word, and she will be filling our souls with music for many years to come.
