The World of Teen Idols

You remember those cute boys in 16 and Tiger Beat Magazines. Some could sing, some could act, and some couldn't -- but did we really care? Some were on TV and in the movies. They showed up on Top of the Pops, American Bandstand, The Merv Griffin Show, The Mike Douglas Show, and The Dinah Shore Show.

For me it started with the Osmonds and Bobby Sherman . . . then I moved on to the Bay City Rollers (those cute scottish lads that I still haven't quite gotten over". Can't forget to include David and Shaun Cassidy, Leif Garrett, Rex Smith, etc. The list goes on forever. Some are still around and doing other things in the industry, and others have just faded into the background like their popularity.

Then there are the ones from TV and the movies -- John Travolta, Henry Winkler, Barry Williams, Christopher Knight, David Soul, Paul Michael Glaser, etc.

If you are like me, you poured over your 16 and Tiger Beats, and couldn't wait for the next issue. You were so sure you were going to marry of them someday.
