Valentine


Benny stirred the soup, humming softly to himself. He heard a key turn in the front door and hurried into the living room, a smile crossing his face. Even after all these years together, the sight of Ray could still set his heart racing.

“Hi Benny,” Ray smiled at him, “this is for you.” He held out a long stemmed red rose.

Benny blinked in surprise. “Valentine’s Day is not for two more weeks, Ray.”

“I know, but I passed by the florist’s and wanted you to have this today.”

Benny smiled happily and accepted the rose and a kiss.
