| Britney has always had the ability to preform. Since early childhood (around 4 years of age) she's been preforming in local dance reviews, church choirs, and pagents and stuff. Her carrier in music started when she was only 8 years old. At that age she tried out for Star Search and won! She also won the following year. Also at the age of 8, she went to Atlanta, and tried out for a spot on The Mickey Mouse Club. Unfortunately she was too young for the show but the Producer of the show, helped her secure an agent in New York. She then spent the next three summers studying at the Professional Preforming Arts School and also at a renown off-broadway organization. She began appearing in commercials and an off-Broadway show called "Ruthless" for eight months. Britney says, "At 10 I played this really bad child that seems sweet, but she's evil too. It was so much fun." Finally when she turned 11, she was old enough, and she earned a spot on The Mickey Mouse Club. She preformed successfully there for 2 years. Then she returned to Kentwood Louisanna at 14. Her freshman year at highschool was her only normal year of high school. While Britney was in Lousianna, she did various commercials, such as Maul's Barbeque Sauce, Bell South, and Day's Inn. After this completely normal teenage year, Britney got restless, and returned to New York to persue her dream, (which was to become a famous singer.) When she returned, she auditioned for a spot on an "All Girl" band known as Innosence. But her manager felt that Britney would be better singing alone, so Britney dropped the band and went on to become a pop star soloist. One of Jive's senior VP's listened to Britney's voice and signed her immediately, to a developmental deal and put her in a studio. Where she produced the CD ...Baby One More Time. And this pretty much brings us up to now. |
