OCTOBER 29TH 2000 RIDGEMONT MAXIMUM SECURITY INSANITARIUM

ROOM 666

A gurney is seen in the middle of a hospital room. A motionless body lays on it where it has rested dormant for the past year. It is Michael. He has been in a coma for the last year, since that fateful night when he at last finished his task that he had started back in 1963. Now with this ritual complete he could rest in peace until the day he died unless....

Suddenly Michael’s hand flinched. His body stiffened. He stirred as if he was an animal awakening from a long winter’s hibernation. The straps which have bound Michael for the past year suddenly tighten and snap as if they were made out of thread. He sits up vey slowly, almost robotically. He rises to his feet and prepares for the task ahead. His next victim but who?

BARBARA: Have you checked on your ward this evening Tanya?

TANYA: Yes Barbara everyone except for that Halloween killer guy

BARBARA: Tanya y’know you are supposed to check on EVERY patient regardless of who or what they are.

TANYA: I know, I know but this one really gives me the creeps. Why can’t they take IT out of here? He doesn’t do anything. He doesn’t need anything. He doesn’t eat. He doesn’t drink. He just lays there.

BARBARA: Believe me Tanya, we all feel the same way but we have a job to do. We can’t ignore him as much as we’d like to. Its the law.

TANYA: Alright, alright I’ll go check on the sicko

BARBARA: Thank you

Tanya slowly idles down the hall towards Michael’s room. As she approaches it she hears the sound of breaking glass. Not sure of what to expect she reluctantly turns the doorknob to Michael’s room and pushes the door slowly open. The gurney is on its side, all the straps tattered and torn. The window is broken. Michael is gone. She screams.

OCTOBER 30, 2000 A SMALL HOUSE IN A QUIET LITTLE SUBURB

Donald Loomis is sitting at his kitchen table eating his breakfast listening to the morning news on the radio. As he bites into a piece of toast, the newscaster breaks in with this "This just in, serial Halloween killer Michael Myers has escaped from a maximum security facility in Chicago, authorities say. Myers had been in a coma for nearly a year but apparently came out of it sometime early last evening. He somehow managed to free himself from the restraints holding him and broke a window to make his escape. An extensive manhunt is under way to find the former Haddonfield resident. Myers you will remember was responsible for a string of murders dating back to....The newscaster trailed off. Before the news report can finish Loomis is already in motion. He shuts off the radio and takes a final sip from his coffee cup. He puts his mug down and reaches for the telephone. He dials a number and waits for a moment. Finally someone on the opposite end answers.

TELEPHONE OPERATOR: Good Morning, American Airlines. How can I help you?

LOOMIS: Ah yes I would like to purchase a one way ticket to Chicago please.... Yes I’ll hold

Loomis stares straight into the camera.

LOOMIS: What do you have in store for us now Michael?

END OF SCENE #3

SCENE 4 RIDGEMONT INSANITARIUM

While authorities search for Michael they are unaware that he is still on the premises at the Insanitarium waiting for the perfect moment to make his getaway. He manages to steal an orderly’s outfit and disguised in that he steals a car to make a clean getaway. Clean however, is hardly a word to use when describing Michael and his actions. Michael brutally stabs the orderly in order to get his clothes and if that isn’t enough he next slaughters a doctor as he gets into his car to leave for the evening. In any event Michael leaves the clinic with one thought on his mind. He must get to Haddonfield and slaughter the last remaining family member he has left.

SCENE 5 RUSSELSVILLE POLICE STATION OCTOBER 30, 2000

Donald Loomis enters. He looks very troubled about something. He has that same look of determination on his face that we had seen so many times in the past on his father’s face. Even the dispatcher senses something from this strange young man as he approaches her desk.

LOOMIS: May I speak with the Sheriff?

MICHELLE: Do you have an appointment?

LOOMIS: No I don’t but it is urgent that I speak with him.

MICHELLE: O. K. I’ll check with him and you are?

LOOMIS: Just tell him that Donald Loomis is here to see him

The secretary seems a little spooked out by the name as she walks into the Sheriff’s office. After a minute or so Michelle and the Sheriff emerge from his office.

SHERIFF LOGAN: I’m Sheriff Craig Logan. Can I help you?

LOOMIS: Yes my name is...

LOGAN: (cutting him off) Loomis I know. I’m very familiar with the name. Your old man and Michael Myers single handedly put this poor little town on the map and by...

LOOMIS: O. K. O. K. Enough of the introductions let me get to the point of why I’m here.

LOGAN: Okay Loomis why are you here?

LOOMIS: I am aware that Michael Myers has escaped from Ridgemont and I know that he will strike again,...and with your help I might be able to tell you where

LOGAN: Why do you care so much about Myers Mr. Loomis?

LOOMIS: Are you aware that I cost a young man his life a year ago over this MAN? Michael has ruined my family as well as countless others and he has deprived me of a father and I want him stopped before he ruins anymore peoples lives

LOGAN: What’s your plan Loomis and what do you need me to do? Believe me I want Myers stopped as much as you do

LOOMIS: Well, Sheriff although Myers has slaughtered numerous innocent people in the past his primary target has always been a relative. A sister, a niece, a nephew. So what we have to do is find any remaining relatives of Michael Myers. I believe if we find one, we’ll find Myers.

LOGAN: As far as I know Loomis they are all dead.

LOOMIS: Sheriff if they were all dead Michael would not be on the loose right now. He’s hunting someone. Now see what you can come up with and I’ll check back with you in the morning

LOGAN: Alright Loomis but I hope you’re right about this. This town can’t handle another Halloween like last years

LOOMIS: You can trust me on this one Sheriff, and if you need me for anything, I’m staying at the Lucky Rabbit motel

END OF SCENE 5

SCENE 6 MICHAEL GETS HIS MASK

At a house in a nearby neighborhood, there are 2 friends talking about their plans for the evening. What the two teens do not realize is that Michael is stalking them.

SCOTT: So what are you doing tonight Nick?

NICK: Nothing much. I’ve got to take my little sister out trick or treating later on. Then I guess I may have some time to cause a little mischief. Heh Heh. And you?

SCOTT: I’ve got a Halloween party to go to tonight, and I’ve got the costume of all costumes. Wait’ll you see it

NICK: Let me guess Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle? Pink Power Ranger?

SCOTT: Very funny dickhead. No this costume is guaranteed to be the hit of the party. Wait here I’ll show you.

Scott disappears into the bathroom for a minute and when he returns he is dressed up as one of the most menacing serial killers of the last 3 decades. Michael. He’s got the mask, the monkey suit, the mechanics boots and a plastic novelty knife in his hand. Nick doesn’t appear to be impressed and he lets his buddy know it.

NICK: Holy shit! I don’t know about that Scott

SCOTT: (Removing the mask) Why? What’s wrong with it? C’mon where’s your sense of humor?

NICK: Three friends of mine were murdered last year by that fuckin maniac or did you forget. I’m sorry but I don’t have a sense of humor when it comes to that.

SCOTT: Sorry I forgot about that. I’ll take it off okay

NICK: Yea sure whatever. You just better hope nobody mistakes you for him in that getup. He’s still on the loose ...I think

SCOTT: That’s just this fuckin’ town trying to wreck another Halloween for us kids. Its all bullshit and paranoia. The guys in a coma, he’s a fucking invalid for chrissakes. Its just a rumor Nick....Man you are gullible?

NICK: Rumor or not? Its still too soon to spring a costume like that on this poor town.

SCOTT: Fuck this town.

NICK: Hey I warned you. I ‘ve gotta go. I’ll catch you later

SCOTT: Alright see ya

Nick exits leaving Scott all alone at the house but is Scott really alone? Michael has made his way into the house while the boys were arguing and is waiting for the right opportunity to kill again. Scott is in front of his mirror now with the mask in his hand talking to himself

SCOTT: Fuckin’ cry babies. This town is full of pussies.(Mockingly) Michael Myers is still out there. Yeah sure he is.

On cue, as Scott finishes this comment Michael proves to the foolish teenager that he is in fact still out there by stabbing him in the back. The boy first slumps forward towards the bureau and then falls backwards and down to the floor with a thud. Michael reaches down and grabs the mask from the dead teen’s clutches and slips it on. Having completed this task Michael is now prepared for his next goal. Finding and destroying his next victim

SCENE 7 OCTOBER 31, 2000 HALLOWEEN RUSSELSVILLE POLICE STATION

As Loomis enters Logan is in view this time. He is looking through a filing cabinet and seems intent; determined to find something, anything on Michael Myers and the people in his past

LOOMIS: Have you had any luck Sheriff?

LOGAN: (A bit frustrated) Not as of yet Loomis but I assure you I"m doing the best that I can

LOOMIS: (Raising his voice) Well you’re going to have to do better. Do you realize what day it is today!? Its Halloween and do you know what happens in this town on Halloween? Michael Myers...

LOGAN: (Cutting him off) I’m well aware of what happens Loomis. Did you know I lost a brother because of that sick son of a bitch. I told you I want Myers as much as you do

LOOMIS: ( Calming down abit) Do you have anything Sheriff? Anything at all

LOGAN: I have something...its small. It might be something it might be nothing. In any event its a long shot at this point in time

LOOMIS: Well dig a little deeper Sheriff. The safety of this town’s residents rests in your hands and we’re running out of time

LOGAN: I’ll double my efforts Loomis

Suddenly Michelle runs in with a book in her hand

MICHELLE: Craig, Mr. Loomis. I was looking through some old eveidence and I found this ( she holds it up)

LOOMIS: What have you found?

MICHELLE: Its a journal kept by Michael’s mother

LOGAN: And THIS is what you were so excited about to show us?

LOOMIS: Sheriff, Give her a break. She might have something here. Lets take a look at it

The three of them put the journal down on the Sheriff’s desk and begin to read it

LOGAN: Oh here it is(sarcastically) The case cracker (Reading) May 17th. I went to lunch today with a friend and then grocery shopping. I’m still fighting with HIM. C’mon we’re wasting out time here.

LOOMIS: Sheriff there is alot written in here. What do you expect? To find a clue on the first page? This might take some time.

LOGAN: Well Loomis you said it yourself we’re running out of time! Can we afford to waste anymore time reading about lunch dates, grocery shopping and tampons?!

LOOMIS: You’re right Sheriff but how about if we let Michelle read through it? She might find something

LOGAN: Its okay with me if she wants to waste her time. That will leave the real clues for us to find

END OF SCENE 7

SCENE 8 OCTOBER 31, 2000 HALLOWEEN EVENING POLICE DEPARTMENT

Loomis, Sheriff Logan, and Michelle all come up empty the rest of the day. It is now 5:00P.M. and Michelle having completed her shift is leaving for the day.

MICHELLE: Craig unless you need me I’m going home for the evening.

LOGAN: No Michelle Go on home I’m all set. Oh by the way how did you make out with that diary? Anything?

MICHELLE: Nothing as of yet but theres alot in there. If its okay with you I’d like to take it home with me to look through this evening?

LOGAN: Hey its your free time but you can do what you want with it. I still think its a waste of time.

MICHELLE: Thanks Craig. Goodnight

LOGAN: Goodnight. If you find anything you know how to reach me

As Michelle leaves the building, she is unaware that she is being followed by Michael. She gets in her car and leaves with Michael in close pusuit. When she arrives at home Michael, so he will not be seen, parks a couple of blocks away. Michelle makes her way inside and prepares for a long night of trick or treaters, the late show and alot of reading. After showering, and changing, she nukes a cup of food from the freezer and sits down to eat it. As she takes a bite, she reaches for the phone to call her mother but before she can finish dialing she hears a noise outside which startles her. She quickly draws back the curtain to see what caused it. Only seeing droves of children walking up and down the quiet little street dressed up as ghouls and ghosts she breathes alittle easier.

MICHELLE: Stupid holiday

She for a moment loses her train of thought of what she was doing before she heard the noise. When she at last remembers she once again tries to call her mother but there is no answer. After letting it ring what seemed to be a million times she at last gave up.

MICHELLE: Hmm that’s strange. Where the hell can she be? Probably another hot date. I swear my mother has a better social life than me.

Meanwhile the phone can be seen and heard ringing at Michelle’s mother’s house. It is at this point in time that we see why she isn’t answering the phone. Her normally spotless house is somewhat disheveled now and the carpet is spotted with blood. The elderly woman is laying in a heap on the floor with her throat slit. She has been murdered but by whom and why?

In between trick or treaters and the watching the movie, Michelle is diligently scouring through the late Mrs. Myers’ diary hoping to find a shread of a clue. At various times throughout the evening Michael can be seen skulking around Michelle’s window. However, she is so intent on finding a clue she is oblivious to his presence. As she is ready to call it quits for the evening, something catches her eye which renews her interest.

MICHELLE: Wait a minute this could be something.

END OF SCENE 8

SCENE 9 POLICE STATION

Loomis enters. Sheriff Logan looks dejected and exhausted. He looks like a man beaten but by what he does not know. As Loomis approaches him he can sense the feeling of helplessness the Sheriff is exhibiting.

LOOMIS: How did Michelle make out with that diary Logan?

LOGAN: Nothing as of yet Loomis but she took it home with her so if she finds anything I’m sure we’ll hear from her

LOOMIS: And how did you make out with your lead? Nothin huh?

LOGAN: Naw I struck out. It was a dead end but I assure you Loomis I’ve got every officer on my force out tonight combing the streets looking for him. I’ve advised every parent in town to chaperone their kids trick or treating and I’ve imposed a 9:00 o’clock curfew. I don’t know what else to do beyond that Loomis. My hands are tied on....

Suddenly the phone rings startling both men out of their seats. Logan composes himself and answers it

LOGAN: Logan here Talk to me

MICHELLE: Craig its me. I think I’ve got something here. It appears that Mr. Myers was not Mr Faithful

LOGAN: Really? Are you sure?

MICHELLE: Yea Listen to this (reading) October 8th 1966 This whole ordeal has been tremendously hard on all of us. We have not been intimate for some time now.I just can’t risk bringing another child into this world right now. The mere thought of it frightens me to death. I think that my husband is having an affair. He has been coming home later and later from the office the past few weeks and when I question him about it he gets angry with me. He has been very distant with me and he acts differentlly around me. At first I tried to deny it to myself but after smelling perfume on him and finding lipstick on his collar my worst fears have been realized. I am going to confront him tonight.... Craig did you get all that?

LOGAN: Yea Anything else?

MICHELLE: Not yet but I’m still reading. You know what I’m thinking don’t you?

LOGAN: Yes maybe this mysterious woman whoever she is got pregnant and...

MICHELLE: Exactly(interupting him) Instant half brother or sister. I know its still a long shot but its all we’ve got so far

LOGAN: Even if that’s the case we still don’t know who or where this woman is or if she even had a child at all

MICHELLE: I know I know but there’s still more here. I just wanted to let you know what I had found. When I get more I’ll call you with the details.

LOGAN: Okay Good luck

No sooner the Sheriff hangs the phone up, the police scanner at the station comes to life.

"Attention all units attention all units we have a disturbance at 732 Oaklawn Drive Units are advised to proceed with caution.Over

LOGAN: C’mon Loomis let’s go see if this is Michael’s work

LOOMIS: Logan what did Michelle find out?

LOGAN: I’ll tell you in the car let’s go

END OF SCENE 9

SCENE 10 MICHELLE’S HOUSE

Back at Michelle’s house she is getting closer and closer to uncovering the truth about Mr.Myers’past and finding Michael’s next victim. As she reads further from the diary she is suddenly aware of the truth.

MICHELLE: (READING) "Well the guessing and suspicions are finally over as well as my marriage I suppose. The awful secret has been revealed. Just as I had feared he has in fact been cheating on me.He confirmed it last evening and it’s worse than I had anticipated.. She’s pregnant...that lousy home wrecking little bitch is pregnant with my husband’s child" Bingo I knew it. Wait a minute, there’s more...Oh my God

Michelle suddenly spots something in this journal which disturbs her deeply. She takes in a deep labored breath of air and exhales it very slowly. She composes herself and reads aloud the last piece of this grizzly puzzle.

MICHELLE: (READING) "He says I don’t know her but he confesses to love her. We’ve got a social function to attend tonight and I don’t know how I’ll get through it. I’m sure all our friends know about it already. They probably even know her. I just have to put HER out of my mind for the evening. That stupid bitch...Evelyn...Evelyn Carmichael is her name (Michelle stops reading) Oh my God MOM!

END OF SCENE 10

SCENE 11 LOGAN AND LOOMIS HEADING TO THE CRIME SCENE

LOOMIS: So tell me Sheriff, what has that girl found in that diary?

LOGAN: Well Loomis, it looks like Michael’s father had an affair sometime
after he was
committed.

LOOMIS: Do you know with who? Maybe she had a child with him. Do you know what
that could mean Sheriff?

LOGAN: Slow down Loomis. That’s all I know for right now. She’ll call IF and
WHEN
she finds more

LOOMIS: Y’see Sheriff the diary wasn’t a waste of time after all. I told you
it...

LOGAN: All right Loomis don’t jump the gun on this. All we’ve got so far is
a possible
affair. Anything beyond that is a reach.

LOOMIS: You’re right Logan but at least we’ve finally got something to go
on. At last a
clue

LOGAN: Forget about it for now. We have something else to worry about for the
time
being. For all we know it might already be too late.

END OF SCENE 11

SCENE 12 732 OAKLAWN DRIVE CRIME SCENE

Logan, Loomis and several other officers are investigating a crime scene. The body of Evelyn Carmichael is lying on the living room rug. There is no sign of a struggle. The woman was helpless against her attacker. The beige carpet is stained with blood. There is a lamp over turned but other than that the house is in tact.

LOGAN: (Speaking into his radio) We need an ambulance at 732 Oaklawn Drive. I’ve got an elderly female, caucasion, early sixties, throat lacerated, minor contusions. Robbery attempt unlikely. Nothing appears to be missing. No apparent motive at this time. D’you copy that.

A voice on the opposite end of the radio confirms the information just given by Logan.

Loomis is pacing about the floor surveying the scene searching for answers or clues. He looks puzzled by the whole thing. He waits until Logan is finished to speak.

LOOMIS: It sure looks like Michael did this but an elderly woman? Why?

LOGAN: I’m wondering the same thing my.....

Logan starts to answer Loomis but stops midsentence as he spots an old black and white photo on the floor a few feet away from the woman’s body.

LOGAN: Wait a minute. This might explain something. Take a look at this.

Logan picks up the tattered photo from the blood soaked carpet. In the picture is a much younger Evelyn with her arm around none other than Michael’s dad himself. As Loomis looks at the photo he does not immediately recognize the man in the photograph.

LOOMIS: Who is that she’s with Logan?

LOGAN: Didn’t you do your homework Loomis? Your father would be disappointed with you. That man is Michael’s father and this woman must be who he had the affair with

LOOMIS: Alright Logan you got me there but if this woman had a son or daughter then we have our next victim

LOGAN: You’re right Loomis. Let’s see if we can find anything around...

Before Logan can finish this statement Loomis is already one step ahead of him scanning the room searching for anything that will link Michael to his next target. It doesn’t take him long to spot a photo of the woman with another person on the mantle at the far end of the room.

LOOMIS: (Pointing) Logan, the mantle, look

As Loomis approaches the mantle he is suddenly aware that something is sticking out of the photograph on it. As he gets closer it becomes apparent to him that the object protruding from the framed picture is a knife. Loomis now knows that this is the last piece of this grizzly puzzle. He knows that when he sees this picture up close the phsical identity of Michael’s next victim will at last be revealed. Loomis is a few steps ahead of Logan so he arrives at the mantle first. He grabs the photograph off of the mantle and when he looks at it he turns as white as a ghost. As Logan approaches Loomis, he can tell by the look on his face that something is really wrong.

LOGAN: Loomis what’s wrong? What is it?

Loomis is so shocked he can barely speak. He tries to clear his throat but the lump in it is as large as a golf ball. His face is ashen. He begins to sweat. He tries to speak but the words don’t come out when he opens his mouth. Logan becomes concerned and questions Loomis again.

LOGAN: Loomis are you going to tell me?

Loomis realizing that time is a vital issue composes himself and finally speaks.

LOOMIS: Well she has a daughter and we shouldn’t have a problem finding her ...that is if she’s still alive

LOGAN : Loomis tell me who is it?

Instead of telling him Loomis shows Logan the photo. When Logan looks at the picture the person in it is all too familiar to him. It is a picture of Michelle with her arms around her mother. The last piece of the puzzle is revealed when Logan reads what is written on the photo. It says "To the best Mom in the world, I love you, Michelle. Logan suddenly understands why Loomis looks so uneasy.

LOGAN : Oh my God it’s Michelle. I had no way of knowing.

LOOMIS : Logan we’ve got to warn that girl

LOGAN: (reaching for the phone) That’s if it isn’t to late already.

Logan dials the phone but it is busy at Michelle’s house.

LOGAN : Shit its busy! Its freakin busy. Damnit

LOOMIS : C’mon Sheriff call her again from the road. We can’t afford to waste another second.

Logan slams down the phone and both men run towards the front door hoping that they can get across town in time to save Michelle from her deranged half brother Michael.

END OF SCENE 12

SCENE 13 MICHELLE’S HOUSE

Michelle is now in a full fledged panic after learning the awful truth about her mother’s secret affair, her long lost father and her deranged half brother, Michael. She realizes that if Michael knows about the affair then she is in certain danger. She’s not sure what to do but finally decides that a phone call is in order to first her mother and second to Logan. She reaches for the phone but putting it to her ear she suddenly realizes that there is no dial tone. Her phone is dead.

MICHELLE : Shit it’s dead it’s fucking dead!

Michelle understands however that remaining calm in this situation is of the utmost importance. She reminds herself this over and over again as she walks about the house checking windows and doors to make sure the are all closed and locked.

MICHELLE : Just calm down Michelle...its going to be alright...just stay calm...everything is going to be fine

As she is mumbling to herself the door bell rings startling her out of her skin. White as a sheet, she slowly creeps to the door and hesitates for a moment before answering it. After convincing herself that a pychopathic killer wouldn’t ring the doorbell to murder her she swings the door open with a jerk Upon answering the door her fears, for the time being, are alleviated when she sees three small children with their mother trick or treating.

CHILDREN : (In Unison) Trick or Treat

Michelle somewhat relieved starts filling the kids bags with candy laughing and joking with them as she does so.

MICHELLE : Boy you guys sure scared me. You all look great. Here you go...and one for you.

CHILDREN : ( In unison) Thank you! Happy Halloween

MICHELLE :You’re welcome .Happy Halloween kids

Michelle closes the door behind her again reassuring herself that everthing is going to be O.K.

MICHELLE : See silly it’s just kids trick or treating. See you’re worrying youself for nothing.

As she walks back into the living room the doorbell rings again. Michelle convinced that it’s more trick or treaters is not reluctant this time to open the door. However, upon swinging the door open all her fears come rushing back when there standing before her is the Shape with a kitchen knife firmly in his grasp. As she tries in vain to shut the door on him he lunges towards her and is able to get his knife wedged in the door so Michelle can’t close it all the way. Michelle is no match for Michael’s awesome power as he pushes the door open and pursues his new half sister. Michelle runs from Michael but because her house is tiny she doesn’t have very far to run or many places to hide. She does realize that she at the very least has got to slow the Shape down so she can make her escape and call Craig for help. Frantically she searches for a weapon or a method to distance herself from her would be killer. At wits end, she runs into the bedroom and foolishly locks herself in a closet. Michael is all too familiar with this method of self defense so he very methodically proceeds to start breaking in. Michelle realizing that she is probably done for still searches the closet for anything to temporarily halt Michael’s progress. Running out of options quickly, she at last grabs a high heel shoe with a metal spike at the end of the heel and readies herself to strike out at Michael with it. She gets her chance soon enough as Michael makes short work of the door and next begins to advance on the frightened woman. She knows that it is do or die so in vain she lashes out at Michael with the shoe. To no avail, she is thwarted by Michael when he simply knocks the shoe from her grasp after several failed attempts to stab him. He now has the helpless girl right where he wants her; unarmed and with nowhere to run. The hysterical Michelle, now at Michael’s mercy prepares to to meet her maker. The Shape sensing this as well raises the knife to at long last end his quest once and for all. As he brings the knife down a shot rings out and another, and another, and another. The Shape staggers backwards and falls to the floor as Michelle lets out a blood curdling scream. As his body hits the floor, Sheriff Logan can be seen in the background with his gun drawn, smoke still trickling from the barrell. Loomis is by his side. Michelle in shock begins to walk out from the closet but is admonished first by the two men.

LOOMIS: Get away from him! He’s not dead! Believe me you can’t kill Pure Evil

Michelle looks back at the pair a little bit confused. Logan confirms Loomis’ fear.

LOGAN: He’s right honey. Now move away from the body nice and slowly.

Michelle tip toes around Michael’s body and slowly walks towards the Sheriff and Loomis. When she gets there she throws herself into Logan’s arms.

MICHELLE: Thank God you got here when you did or I’d have been a goner

LOOMIS: Enough of that we’re not out of the woods yet! Logan take the girl to your squad car and call for back up.

LOGAN: But Loomis...

LOOMIS: Move!!!

As instructed the Sheriff and Michelle head out the front door which still happens to be wide open. They make their way to Logan’s police car which is parked out front on the lawn. Logan reaches inside and grabs his CB radio and begins to make the call.

Meanwhile back inside, Loomis is standing over Michael’s "dead" body. He’s got a pair of the Sheriff’s handcuffs in his grasp. In past experiences with Michael, Loomis is well aware that a few measly bullets, even if they were from a 44 Magnum, could never stop the Shape but he figures if he can at least get his hands bound then he is one step closer to stopping him. He crouches down next to Michael’s motionless body and begins to handcuff him. He is able to get one wrist cuffed but before he can cuff the second Michael awakens and as quick as a cat stabs Loomis in the chest with the knife. Loomis’ eyes roll back in his head as he falls forward and collapses near Michael’s body. Michael having dispensed with Loomis next rises to his feet and continues on with his journey to end his half sister’s life.

Back outside, Logan alerts the authorities to the situation at Michelle’s place.

LOGAN: Attention all units, attention all units I need backup and an ambulance at 951 Smithneck Road. We’ve got Michael Myers down but we don’t know for how long.

Michelle seems a bit restless while the Sheriff makes his call and decides to head back inside to get her jacket

MICHELLE: Craig, I’m going back inside for a minute to get a coat. It’s too cold out tonight

LOGAN: Michelle wait take my coat. Michelle!! No!!!

Michelle not heeding the Sheriff’s warning heads into the house anyway not realizing that the only dead body on the bedroom floor is Loomis’ not Michael’s. Oblivious she walks to the hall closet to grab her jacket. When she opens the door however, she is once again gripped with fear when she sees the Shape staring back at her from inside the closet. In a state of shock, she freezes as Michael starts to lumber out of the closet at her as police sirens are heard converging on the scene in the background. Just as Michael is about to kill Michelle, Loomis, bloody and badly injured appears from behind her. Barely breathing, he shoves Michelle out of the way and then pushes Michael back inside the closet and quickly slams the door. Before the Shape can react Loomis pulls a gun from his coat pocket and starts firing it at the closet door just as several other officers, including Logan, run through the front door.

Loomis stops firing for a split second to inform the officers of the situation at hand

LOOMIS: I’ve got him trapped in the closet

Logan, hearing this, wastes no time in instructing his men on what to do.

LOGAN: Fire!!!!

All the officers at once begin firing at the closet . The wooden door turns into splinters in an instant as bullet after bullet make their way inside the closet. Rounds and rounds of ammunition are spent before Logan at last instructs his men to stop firing

LOGAN: Okay that’s enough men!!! Cease fire!!!!

As the smoke clears Loomis staggers forward to inspect the damage. He opens what is left of the closet door but is shocked to discover that Michael is gone. The Shape has vanished into thin air. Upon further inspection, Loomis and the other men find no visible way for Michael to have made his escape. There are no holes in the ceiling, floor or walls and there are no vents either but yet Michael is gone. Loomis is in a state of disbelief.

LOOMIS: He’s gone, he’s gone from here. the Evil is gone....AGAIN!
