STORYLINE:

The story opens with the confirmation that Michael is still very much alive. It appears that Michael’s head was not severed off by his enraged sister. Instead only the mask came off when Laurie swung the axe at him. As Laurie approaches what she thinks to be the severed head she suddenly realizes after picking it up that it is just the mask. However when she looks back at the dismantled van where Michael’s body had been pinned Michael is gone. She screams.

John Tate(Strode) awakens in a cold sweat after having another nightmare. Nightmares that he has gotten all too used to lately. It has been a year to the day when his mother and his supposedly dead uncle disappeared from the private school that he had attended. The van was never found and his mother and Michael are both presumed dead.

John has been on his own since then but has been haunted by the whole ordeal. He has since joined a band from school to distract him from the pain and fear that Michael has engulfed him in . Using this band as an escape he hides from the terror that lurks around the corner. John gets ready for school just like everyday but this is no ordinary day. It is Friday October 31st Halloween , a day that will live in infamy in his small troubled family. It is a day that he’d just as soon forget. The day it all started. The day he came home. HE meaning Michael Myers his deranged murderous uncle who had turned his life upside down. As he showers and dresses for school he recounts all the horrific details in his head. It was 1963, some 17 years before he was even born, Halloween night when the terror began. Judith, an aunt he would never know, (she was only 17 at the time) was brutally stabbed by her then 6 year old brother Michael. Michael was then committed to a mental institute where he escaped 15 years later to try and finish what he started. His parents had been killed in a car accident 2 years after he had been committed. His sister Laurie was then adopted by the Strode family but they requested that the records be sealed to protect her and the family from Michael. However upon Michael’s escape from Smith Grove Sanitarium in 1978 he didn’t take long to find Laurie and start the terror all over again. After several attempts to take Laurie’s life he was shot six times at point blank range by his doctor Dr. Sam Loomis. Laurie was then taken to Haddenfield Memorial Hospital to be treated for stab wounds sustained in the attack. However Michael’s body was never found after the shooting and left authorities wondering if Michael was still alive. They soon found that he was very much alive as the slaughtering continued as Michael searched for Laurie at the hospital. Upon learning the news that Michael was in fact Laurie’s brother Dr. Loomis rushed to the clinic where he once again shot Michael with little to no results. Finally after trapping Michael in a hospital room Loomis using bottled ether blew Michael and himself up while Laurie narrowly escaped. Loomis was killed in the blast but Michael’s body was never recovered again leaving speculation as to the state and whereabouts of Michael Myers.

That question remained a mystery for almost 20 years. Laurie had gotten on with her life as much as could be expected. She married about a year later and had a son John the following year. However the whole ordeal had affected her so deeply that she was not able to enjoy a normal life anymore and as a result her marriage suffered and she soon found herself raising John alone when her husband ran out on her a couple of years later. She soon started drinking to drown her fears. As the 20th anniversary neared Michael surfaced and was able to track down Laurie and John who had moved and changed their names. After nearly killing Josh and his girlfriend Michael at last came face to face with his sister Laurie whom he had not seen since that fateful night in the hospital 20 years ago.

Something was different this time however. Instead of Laurie running she engaged Michael and tried to finish this war once and for all. After a long and bloody fight, it appeared that Laurie had finally won the war when Michael fell two stories and apparently broke his neck. When police arrived the corroner was pronouncing Michael Myers dead.

As Michael was placed into the ambulance in a body bag Laurie suddenly snapped and hijacked the van and its contents. She screamed down the long winding road with Michael’s body and was never heard from again.

John shudders as he thinks about the events that have happened up to this point. He tries vainly to shrug it off as he leaves for school. "It’s over" he says trying to convince himself. After all he has made a clean start. He has moved back to Illinois where he was born taking up residence in Russelsville. He was attending public school where he was a senior. Public school was so much better than that stuffy uptight private school his mother had forced him to attend. After all pubic school is where he had met Jack and Justin his two best friends . The three of them had been the three musketeers for the last year.

They had formed a band and had alot of fun "jammin" together. Yes, life could not be any better John thought. " Who am I kiddin’?" . Life could be perfect if Michael Myers wasn’t in it . All he had to do was get through this next day and he’d be home free.

Maybe. Hopefully.

Luckily school was pretty uneventful that day. Nothing out of the ordinary happened at all. Well at least not for high school anyway. There was the fight in the cafeteria over of course a girl , but that kind of thing happened everyday. Then there were kids chalking

erasers and playing other small pranks on teachers and other students but you kind of expected that , especially on, he shuddered to think it, Halloween. Well the day finally came to an end and John for the first time that day finally hooked up with Jack and Justin. As the boys walk home from school they are unaware that a stranger is following them. Unfortunately for John and his friends they do not see or suspect the masked man. Although the boys are in certain danger they speak back and forth with each other about the day.

However getting through Halloween night was proving to be a little more difficult than getting through Halloween day.

JOHN: No guys I don’t think so

JACK: C’mon John don’t wuss out on us

JUSTIN:Yea don’t worry we won’t get in trouble We do it every year and we’ve never got busted before

JOHN: It’s not that guys it’s ... just...

JACK: Just what John? Why won’t you go out egging with us?

JOHN: I’m just not into it that’s all

JUSTIN: But John it’s Halloween

JOHN:Yea so? Its not that big a deal

JACK: What gives man?

JUSTIN: Yea what do you have against Halloween anyway?

JOHN: O.K. If I tell you will you guys stop buggin me about it?

JACK: Yea I guess so

JUSTIN: Just tell us John

JOHN: Alright but you guys got to promise me you won’t tell another living soul about this Promise?

JACK AND JUSTIN: (IN UNISON MOCKINGLY): Yes John we promise

JOHN: (ANGRILY): C’mon guys I’m not kidding around this is serious shit so do you promise or not?

JACK:Yea John we promise

JUSTIN:We won’t tell anyone else Now what is it?

JOHN: Do you guys know who Michael Myers is?

JACK: Yea of course he’s that guy that killed all those teenagers like 20 years ago

JUSTIN: Yea up in Haddonfield Wasn’t he trying to kill his sister or something like that

JOHN: Yea something like that

JUSTIN: Yea what about him

JOHN: Well that sister he was after, her name was Laurie Strode by the way, was my mother

JACK AND JUSTIN REMAIN SILENT FOR A MINUTE

JACK: D’you mean to tell me that Michael Myers is your freakin Uncle?

JOHN: (HESITATES) Yea ... unfortunately

JUSTIN: Man that is fucked

JOHN: Well that’s one way to put it

JACK: Sorry John we didn’t know

JOHN: It’s O.K. but now you know why I’m not a big fan of Halloween

JUSTIN: Yea that does kinda suck. Sorry

JOHN: It’s fine but enough of that. Do you guys want to practice tonight instead? That new song we’ve been working on is coming out pretty good

JACK:Yea that’s cool

JUSTIN: Yea I guess we can spare old Roses windows this year

END OF SCENE 1

A stranger pulls into town. Although never been seen in town before he has a certain sense of awareness about everything. He stops at a phone booth and starts rummaging through the phone book looking for a name or an address. He seems intent on finding something or someone but what or who it is we do not know yet. Suddenly a sense of relief comes over his face as he at last finds the person he has been looking for. Nervously he picks up the phone and dials. After letting it ring a million times he slams the phone down and then proceeds to rip the page out of the phonebook. He scrumples it up and shoves it in his trenchcoat pocket. He then gets in his blazer and takes off in search of this anonymous person. Although a stranger it is as though we have seen him before. He navigates the town like he has lived here his entire life. At long last he arrives at a white house in a quiet little neighborhood. He takes a deep breath and proceeds up the walk with a quiet determination about him. When he gets to the front door he composes himself and rings the doorbell. A man answers the door.

SCENE 2 SHERIFF GRADY AND DONALD LOOMIS

GRADY: Can I help you?

LOOMIS: Yes I’m looking for the Sheriff

GRADY: I’m Sheriff Leif Grady. What can I do for you Mr....

LOOMIS: Loomis. Donald Loomis

GRADY: Loomis? Is that some kind of Halloween prank. People in this town aren’t likely to forget that name especially at this time of year

LOOMIS: It’s no joke sheriff. I’m Sam Loomis’ son. Now I’m here to...

GRADY: I never knew Loomis had a son or even a wife for that matter

LOOMIS: It’s because my mother left him when I was very young. She was sick and tired of playing second fiddle to Michael Myers. My father was obsessed with Myers so she...

GRADY: Alright alright I get the point but why are you here Loomis

LOOMIS: I believe Michael Myers is alive and here in town to kill John Strode

GRADY: Oh c’mon Loomis spare me the antics Do you know how many times we heard the exact same thing fom your crazy kook of a father

LOOMIS: And he was always right wasn’t he sheriff! I’m talking about the real possibility that he is still out there ready to kill that boy and anybody else who gets in his way

GRADY: Well I agree with you on one thing Loomis. You are definitely Sam’s son

After all nobody could sling the bull like him when it came to Michael Myers

LOOMIS : (ANGRILY): Is it going to take a repeat of 20 years ago to smarten you up sheriff. Are you going to listen to me Grady or do you want the blood of innocent teenagers on your hands?

GRADY: More mumbo jumbo... Alright Loomis I’m going to prove to you that you’re all wrong about this Come with me!

The Sheriff doesn’t know what to make of this Loomis character but he knows one thing: The small little town of Russelsville can not survive another bloodbath like it did 20 years ago. What if Loomis was right? Could he afford to ignore the young man’s warnings. No he couldn’t but he also couln’t afford to allow this crazy kid to grip the town in fear all over again. No he would take care of this crazy kid first and then attend to Myers himself. The Sheriff has a plan to convince Loomis that Myers is dead. He tells his wife what he plans to do.

GRADY: Lesh I’ll be back I’m heading to Beechgrove Cemetary to prove to that crazy Loomis kid that Michael Myers is dead.

LESHA: But Leif dear you know that Michael Myers’ body was never recovered and that the town just burried an empty box to put closure to this whole ordeal.

GRADY: I know I know but he doesn’t know that and if he believes me maybe he’ll put this whole Michael Myers thing behind him

LESHA: And if he doesn’t believe you?

GRADY: Then we’re in for a long night

END OF SCENE 2

SCENE#3 BAND PRACTICE JOHN, JACK AND JUSTIN

As the scene opens John and the guys are talking about the band and their new original Social Secret which John has written recently about his jaded past.

JOHN: Do you guys want to work on that new song now?

JACK: Lets just jam something to warm up first. Is that cool with everybody?

JUSTIN: Its alright with me if its alright with John.

JOHN: That’s cool.

The boys start jamming a song that sounds all too familiar to the audience, the Halloween theme. After a minute or so John looks up towards the far wall of the room. On the wall is the door to enter the room, a couple of posters and a 10" by 15" vent in the wall to allow heat to enter the room because it is unheated. Almost on cue Michael is now staring at his nephew through this vent. However, since Justin and Jack have their backs to this wall they do not see what John is witnessing. In disbelief John drops his drumsticks and his face becomes ashen. When he looks down at the sticks Michael casually steps away from the vent so when John looks back he is gone. John is visibly shaken.

JACK: What’s the matter John? You look like you just saw a ghost.

JOHN: (Studdering and really tense) Nothing ...its nothing at all

JACK: Are you sure it looks like somethings got you spooked

JOHN: I told you its nothing...I just thought I saw someone thats all

JUSTIN: Maybe its Uncle Myers and he’s coming for you John (jokingly)

JOHN: That’s not funny asshole... just forget about it! It happens from time to time

JUSTIN: Sorry just kidding around don’t get all serious on me I didn’t mean any...

JOHN: Its no big deal. I think we’re warmed up enough. Now can we play my song

JUSTIN: Sure.... What a spaz

While going through the song Michael hides in Justin’s room and waits for the opportunity to kill. He doesn’t have to wait long when Justin breaks a string at the end of the song.

JUSTIN: Shit I broke a string

JOHN: It sounded pretty good too

JUSTIN: Don’t worry I’ve got another E string upstairs. It should only take a minute to fix. I’ll be right back.

Justin journeys upstairs to fix his guitar leaving Jack and John to work on the rhythym of the song. Justin searches for the string in his room but for some reason can’t seem to find it.

JUSTIN: Now where the hell did that string go It was just here a little while ago

Michael answers that quetion for Justin when he comes from the closet behind him with the string in his hands. Before Justin can utter a scream Michael chokes Justin to death with the string. Meanwhile Jack and John are wondering what is taking Justin so long.

JACK: What the hell is taking him so long

JOHN: No kiddin I want to play that song again before I forget some of the things I did in it. Jack go check on him will you

JACK: He’s probably screwing around up there I’ll be back

Jack heads upstairs to see what is taking Justin so long. When he enters Justin’s room he sees (what he thinks to be) Justin sitting in a chair with the guitar in his hands.

JACK: Justin what the hell is taking you so long

NO RESONSE FROM JUSTIN

JACK: Are you done? Justin? ...Justin?

As Jack questions Justin, Michael stands up and turns to face Jack with
the guitar inhis hands.

JACK: Very funny Justin but you better not let John see you in that getup,
he's already spooked out enough with this whole Michael Myers thing

Michael starts to lumber towards Jack as the Shape stalks theme is heard.

JACK: Alright Justin this isn't funny anymore, what if John sees you...

As Jack backpedals Michael suddenly strikes and spears him in the stomach
with the guitar. Jack is killed instantly as the guitar penetrates all the way through
him and the bedroom door turning him into a bloody door decoration

John hearing the noise goes upstairs thinking his two friends are playing a trick on him.

When he gets upstairs he discovers his dead friends and then finally encounters Michael and the chase is on. Michael lunges towards John with a large kichen knife trying to stab his nephew with every ounce of evil and hatred in his body. Luckily, John steps out of the way at the last possible second and Michael’s blade lands in the wall right behind John’s head. In the second or two it takes Michael to pry his weapon from the wall, this allows John to distance himself from his would be killer. In a frantic instant John searches for something, anything to stop or at least slow down this maniac. He runs down stairs to hide but spotting a broken drum stick with a jagged edge near his drum set he decides to engage his attacker instead. As Michael passes the vent John is able to time his attack to the split second lunging at Michael with the stick stabbing him in the throat. Michael struggles to remove the crude weapon from his throat and upon removing it collapses on the floor. At least for the time being John was safe.

SCENE 4 THE CEMETARY

GRADY: Alright Loomis there’s his grave There’s your proof He’s dead now will you put this whole Michael Myers nonsense to rest

LOOMIS: All I see is a tombstone Sheriff . That doesn’t prove a God damn thing. You want to convince me Sheriff show me the body

GRADY: Loomis is your old man buried in this cemetary? I’d like to see his body I betcha his coffin is empty. I’m not worried about Myers being alive anymore I’m worried about your old man being alive Your just as crazy as he was

LOOMIS: Anymore? See Sheriff you know its true Michael Myers is alive

GRADY: Could be alive. His body was never recovered. The chances are a million to one

LOOMIS: Look Sherriff I"m just trying to protect this town from another Halloween massacre. You can’t afford to be wrong about this. Can you?

GRADY: Alright alright Loomis let’s just say you’re right about this and Myers is still alive. What can we do to stop him once and for all

LOOMIS: First of all Sheriff I don’t know how to stop him. Nobody does but we have got to try. I think we’ve got to beat him to his next victim.John Tate. We find him and I believe we’ll find Myers. Are you with me Sheriff?

GRADY: O.K. Loomis I’ll help you but I still think you’re wrong about this

LOOMIS: I hope I’m wrong too Sheriff or this town is in grave danger. Now let’s get going we haven’t a second to lose

GRADY: O.K. Loomis Let’s try to find that boy

END SCENE 4

SCENE 5 SHERIFF GRADY, DONALD LOOMIS, NICK

As the Sheriff and Loomis speed out of the cemetary, they both realize that they could be looking for a needle in a haystack. The longer this search takes could be the difference between life and death for John and his friends. For the two men failure is not an option. As the Sheriff drives the familiar streets of Russelville he is looking for anybody that can lead the two men to John. It doesn’t take Grady long to spot a familiar face, Nick one of John’s friends from school is out getting ready for mischief. The Sheriff’s truck speeds to a halt in front of the teen blocking his path. The teen immediately thinking he is in trouble goes on the defensive

NICK: I swear it wasn’t me Sheriff. I didn’t even go near the Mackenzies house.

SHERIFF GRADY: I don’t care about that right now have you seen John Tate today? Its very important we find him.

Nick not wanting to get his friend in trouble immediately plays dumb

NICK: I saw him in school today but I don’t know where he is now. Is he in some kind of trouble?

LOOMIS: That Strode boy is in danger now where is he?

NICK: Strode boy? I don’t know any Strode boy. What’s he talking ‘bout Sheriff?

GRADY: Let me handle this Loomis

LOOMIS: But Sheriff we’ve wasted enough time already He knows something

GRADY: Ignore him son. Now do have any idea where John and his friends might be?

LOOMIS: Please it’s a matter of life and death

GRADY: Loomis!! Now think. Do you have any idea where he might be his life may be in danger

At this point Nick realizes that this no joke so he tells the Sheriff where the boys might be.

NICK: Alright Sheriff I think his band is practicing tonight. Jack and Justin wanted him to go out egging with them but he seemed really upset today about something so they decided to practice at Justin’s house instead. I think they’re ...

Before Nick can finish his sentence the Sheriff is already in gear ready to roll

GRADY: 99 Briarwood Terrace

LOOMIS: Let’s go!!!!

The pair speed off leaving Nick in a cloud of dust. It doesn’t take them long to get to the boy’s house As they arrive John is convinced that he has killed Michael

JOHN: Sheriff...Look... He’s dead I killed him...See

LOOMIS: Get away from him he’s not dead you can’t kill evil

GRADY: He’s not breathing Loomis I think he’s dead

On cue Michael slowly sits up and stares at the trio. As he gets to his feet Sheriff Grady fumbles to remove his revolver from its holster as Loomis grabs John’s arm and begins to run with him away from Michael. As Michael advances on the men Grady fires his revolver at Michael hitting him several times in the chest. Once again Michael drops to the floor apparently beaten but Loomis knows different.

LOOMIS: Sheriff don’t be fooled it’s going to take alot more than a few bullets to stop It.

SHERIFF GRADY: Then what do we do now Loomis. I’m all out of ideas

JOHN: Why won’t he die?!

Almost on cue again Michael rises and stabs the Sheriff in the back when he foolishly turns away from the Shape. Like the tide Michael keeps coming undaunted in his quest to end the young man’s life. At this point Loomis realizes that if stopping him is impossible escape is the only alternative. As the two men flee Loomis is feverishly trying to figure out a way to stop this abomination once and for all. As he and John approach his truck parked out front he thinks he has an idea to stop Myers once and for all. He gets John into the vehicle and circles around it trying to get inside as Michael approaches. As Michael reaches in to grab the boy’s throat Loomis gets the truck started and peals out leaving Michael in a cloud of dust. This buys the pair some time but they both know that if they don’t stop Michael now they will be running for the rest of their lives. Quickly Loomis puts his plan into action and turns the truck around and heads back towards their assailant. John seeing this starts freaking out as the shock of this whole ordeal finally starts to sink in

JOHN: What are you fuckin crazy mister Lets get the fuck outta here

LOOMIS: Trust me son I’ve got an idea. If we don’t stop him now you’ll be running the rest of your life.

The pair head back towards Justin’s house but when they get back there, they find Michael is gone. Loomis knows that it is only a matter of time before Michael returns to finish what he started so he knows he has to work fast. Quickly he goes into the back of his truck and pulls out a sack which he hands to John. However when John grabs it he nearly drops it because it is so heavy.

JOHN: What the hell you got in here mister? A dead body?

LOOMIS: Bad choice of words son. There’s no time to explain right now. It’s only a matter of time before Michael returns. We’ve got to work fast. C’mon I’ll explain it all to you while we’re setting up.

Loomis and John start to head indoors but first Loomis goes into his truck and grabs a rifle from behind the seat. John looks at the gun like it is a toy.

JOHN: A gun? What the hell good is that going to do?

LOOMIS: It’s not that kind of a gun. Just wait and you’ll see

While preparing for their final showdown with Michael, Loomis explains his plan to John . John however is confused about it.

JOHN: Alright Mr. Loomis go over this with me one more time.

LOOMIS: Alright son. The only person who has ever come close to stopping Michael before was my father. He shot him with a tranquilizer gun and dropped a large chain net on him.

JOHN: And you want to take a chance with both our lives based on that? Do you really think it will work?

LOOMIS: I know it isn’t the most orthodox method but it did work before and keep in mind nothing else has

JOHN: Alright if you think it will work I’ll do it. Once we’ve got him then what?

LOOMIS: I’m not sure yet. I guess we’ll cross that bridge when we come to it

Having baited the trap for Michael with poor John, Loomis and the teen wait for The Shape to surface. Soon enough Michael appears and just as planned fixes his sights on his helpless nephew. As he approaches the boy, Loomis, who is hiding behind some stacked up boxes rises out of the shadows and after getting a bead on The Shape attempts to shoot him with the tranquilizer gun. However, the guns jams and he is unable to get off the shot. This momentary setback throws off the timing of the plan so Loomis is unable to drop the net on Michael. Michael who is now past the drop point slowly and methodically heads towards John who is unprepared for this onslaught. Realizing that John is unarmed and defenseless against the menacing Shape, Loomis makes one last deperate attempt to unjam the gun. As Michael inches closer to the unprotected teen Loomis at last unjams the gun and fires at Michael, but it is too late. Just as the poisonous dart finds its mark into Michael’s shoulder, he stabs John in the chest with the knife.

JOHN: Mr. Loomis!!! Help me!!!!! Please.....

The dying boy’s body becomes limp and lifeless and drops to the floor in a pool of blood.

Shocked and distraught, Loomis seeing his plan backfire reacts.

LOOMIS: No!! Michael NO!!!!!

Every once of fear left in Loomis’ body at this point is now gone. Although he should be absolutely terrified of Michael he is not. Instead of running from him he approaches him and is not in the least bit afraid of the consequences. He feels guilty that his own obsession cost the boy his life. John had trusted him with his life and Loomis had let Michael take it. Michael stands ready for Loomis as he moves towards him. Finally face to face with Michael now, Loomis confronts him at last.

LOOMIS: Now what Michael? They’re all dead. You’ve won. Are you happy ? Michael?

Michael stares blankly back at Loomis with that pale expressionless look almost as if he were a chess player contemplating his next move. After a moment or so Michael seems to let down his guard a bit. Taking this opportunity, Loomis attempts to remove the knife from his hand but in a flash The Shape raises the knife back above his head to finish off Loomis once and for all.

LOOMIS: NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!

Fade to black.
