So... a little about me. What to say? How about we start with some basic
likes/dislikes?
LIKES:
Reading -
I read just about any kind of book, but I really love dark fantasy.
Movies -
I really love to get into them... to live them with the actors.
To BE the character.
Internet -
I admit, I'm a bit addicted. I especially like ICQ... and Acrophobia.
Skiing -
I learned in the Alps when I was in 2nd grade. I was hooked from
the start!
Traveling -
I've moved around; spent most of my childhood in Europe (Italy/
Germany). With so many countries so close, you get exposed to
incredibly diverse cultures. Personally, I love it. I love going to
new places and learning new languages and ways of life.
Music -
I like just about any kind except country. My tastes run from Classical
to Heavy Metal. I play a few instruments and sing. Always have a tune
in my head. :)
History -
Ok, not really ALL kinds of history, but the parts that interest me
really get a good hold on me. My current interest is Jacobite history,
particularly around the rebellion in 1745 (Scottish history, for those
who don't know).
DISLIKES:
Wanna-be's -
Really, people, whoever you are, be that person. It's the only person you
really CAN be, so there's on use trying to be someone or something
else.
Predjudism -
I suppose it comes a lot from my traveling and getting to know the
people of so many different cultures, but I can't stand attitudes
towards an entire people based on stereotypes. There is good and bad
in every society and we can't judge others by color, gender, etc.
Any "military-brats" (or anyone who is/was in the service) out there?
