Warning!! Warning!! The following commentary is from an over-21 female's point of view. If you can't handle the fact that I have it bad for Glen Jacobs, then please..go back now! I've heard enough crap about Sunny and Sable to last a lifetime, and turnabout is fair play! If you can handle that..proceed..

Reports From 8.10.98 Onward

My Thoughts For 8.4.98:

All I can say is..it's a good thing they didn't pull that crap from last week again. I would have been raising hell. Okay, in the beginning..Kane comes out to stand at the top of the ramp while Taker looks back at him. The brothers just look at each other, then Mankind attacks UT and they brawl away..

Later there is a match with Kane and Mankind vs. New Age Outlaws. Don't those guys ever get tired of getting their butts kicked? Anyway, *great* match..Kane does an *incredible* double-suplex on Road Dog and Gunn that just had me staring in amazement! Glenn is just soo impressive! Kane gets the pin on RD (as usual)..and at the end does the cutest thing. Mankind is holding an arm out to him, Kane walks over and does the head-tilt thing, and it's just sooo cute! I was *dying*! He looked too, too hot the entire night!

The last Kane appearance came at the end of the night when Mankind had the Mandible Claw on the Undertaker. Kane came in with a chair and hit Mankind (after UT ducked). UT took the chair away from him and hit Mankind again. Then, NAO runs in and everyone starts brawling..that's it for this week..

My Thoughts For 7.27.98:

What a complete disappointment! Kane was on for all of ten seconds (if that!). He came in just after UT and Austin shared a couple of beers and attacked Austin from behind, much to my delight. That's it for Kane this week, though..*sigh*

My Thoughts For 7.20.98:

Well, there will be no thoughts on Kane for this week, since my stupid power went out right after Taker chokeslammed McMahon and his cronies. We had a *really* bad storm here, so my power was out for seven hours. *sigh* If all goes well, the commentary will be back next week. *pouting*

My Thoughts For 7.13.98:

This commentary is soo late it's almost not even worth doing now, but since some very important things happened on RAW, I better at least briefly cover it. Well, in the beginning of the show, Taker had a match with Vader, and Kane came out to stand at ringside (with Mankind and Bearer). The announcers were going nuts trying to figure out if Kane and UT were in cahoots. Towards the end of the match (actually, at the end), Mankind went to hit Taker with a chair, but Kane pulled the chair out of his hands to stop him, and hit Vader with it. I loved it! I think they're getting them together..but it won't be for awhile yet.

Later we have the tag-team title match between Kane/Mankind and New Age Outlaws. Taker also comes down to ringside to watch. He doesn't get involved, but the Nation does.. D-Lo Brown does his splash thing on Road Dog, and Kane pins him for the win. Kane and Mankind are the new tag-team champs! Woohoo! I was happy, even if it was done in a crappy way.

McMahon comes out later and calls out Taker, demanding to know if he and Kane are in cahoots. Taker tells him to "Go to hell". SCSA then comes out and asks UT the same question, he gets told to "Go to hell with (McMahon)"..Then DX comes out and demands to have a rematch for the tag titles with Taker and Austin as Special Enforcers. McMahon agrees.

Okay, during the rematch Road Dog rolls Kane up into an inside cradle and Austin goes to do the count, but UT pulls him out of the ring. They argue..meanwhile Kane gets the chokeslam (a *killer* one) on Road Dog and Taker does the count, only to be pulled away by Austin. Taker gets pissed and stands up to stalk Austin, and Kane does the same..knocking him down and into the corner. He starts kicking SCSA while UT gets into it with Mankind. DX then runs in and gets their butts handed to them by Taker and SCSA. So, in other words..Kane and Mankind are STILL tag-team champs..at least until Fully Loaded. *sigh*

My Thoughts For 7.6.98:

Well, this Raw was great, but there wasn't enough of Kane for me..Then again, there never could be enough of him! *eg* The first time we see him is during the Vader/Bradshaw match. He and Mankind come out (and *dang* it..he's still got that arm covered!! Glenn! *Please* wear the other one! ) and wait a minute..I'm distracted by the sight of him running and sliding into the ring..Don't ask me why, but that drives me insane..in a very good way, of course! Umm..wow..okay, he uh..punches Vader, then chokeslams him..mmmm..Don't ask me what Mankind was doing, I was looking at Kane. Then he teams up with Mankind on beating up Bradshaw. Okay, another thing that I love..the way Glenn makes all those noises when he's kicking someone's butt..*fanning furiously* It's suddenly hot in here. Next we get a tombstone on Vader.. (wish I was the one between his legs. I can't believe I just said that. *blushing*)

O-kay..I better move on before I get myself in *real* trouble! LOL Anyway, Kane throws his hair out of his face, lifts his arms (*straining*..must..not..comment..) and does the pyro thing. The idiot-marks in the crowd are chanting "Austin"..whatever. Kane then steps over the top rope (that's another one..Elentari..are you keeping track? LOL), and backs up toward the camera. All I can say is..THANK you, Glenn! Then he and Mankind leave.

Next, McMahon comes out and brings Mankind to the ring (he's introducing the possibilities for #1 contender), then Kane (who does the pyro thing again), then Taker. Kane turns to look directly into the camera..*gasp..pant*..and I gasp for air..trying to keep cool..I can't believe the great shots we get of him..Lace! Screen shots!! I need screen shots!! *begging* Anyway, McMahon makes the mistake of calling Kane "stupid", and I'm hoping he goes after him..but we only get a teaser. Did you notice how when McMahon mentions the way Taker set Kane's arm on fire in the "Inferno Match", Kane drops his head..almost sadly. I think they're trying to make Kane more of a tragic-figure..and it's working..at least for me. Finally McMahon gets to the point..telling the men they have to compete in a triple-threat match that night.

Okay..match time..McMahon and Paul Bearer come out first. McMahon heads to the announcer's table while Bearer takes his place at ringside. Then Austin comes out and does his thing..just because the crowd wants it..and also joins the announcers. Mankind comes out..then "Kane"..then the Undertaker is introduced..but he doesn't show. McMahon gets in the ring and demands that Mankind and "Kane" fight each other to see who gets to be #1 Contender. Mankind says he will not fight his friend, but "Kane" finally takes a chair and whacks Mankind with it, then rolls him into the ring, drags him to the center, and covers him for the win...Gets up, tears off the mask to reveal..Undertaker..*g* I already knew how it ended before I saw it, but it was still cool!

My Thoughts For 7.1.98:

Sorry about this one being a little late. I got hit with an idea, and have been working on another page entirely devoted to Glenn Jacobs with Elentari. Now, if I can just find out more about his previous stints in the other federations, I'll be in business.

Anyway, on to Raw.. McMahon, Briscoe, and Slaughter come out..McMahon yacks *forever* about what a happy day it is for him, etc..etc..He *finally* calls out Kane. Kane and Bearer come out, and just as Vince is about to place the belt around Kane's waist (I volunteer!! *G*) Austin comes out. Big surprise *rolling eyes*..Now *he* yacks forever, asking McMahon, then Bearer, then Kane for a rematch. He gets under Kane's skin by talking about how his brother won the belt for him, and handed it to him. Whatever. I say that's BS, but who listens to me, anyway? Well, Kane finally nods "Yes"..he will give Austin the rematch (Just like I predicted)..and Austin leaves..Everyone else is left standing in the ring arguing.

*Sigh* I hate this. What the _bleep_ is so great about Austin? I used to like him, too..but he's getting old now..and I was *never* a mark for him. Now for Kane, that's another story..get used to me gushing about him if you read this page regularly. I warn you now..*L* Okay, now I have to think..Oh yeah, later on we see Kane talking again about why he gave Austin the rematch. Basically he wants to prove he's a better champion than his brother.

The next time we see him is when he comes out for the match. I don't even want to recap this because it just made me ill the way they made Austin dominate the match. This..after he gets his butt handed to him the night before..yeah, right..real believable. Can you tell I'm annoyed? *LOL* So Austin puts the incredibly lame "Stunner" on him (I *hate* DDT's) and that's that. *HUGE SIGH*

My Thoughts For 6.28.98:

Woohoo!! Kane is the WWF Champion! *g* I'm a happy camper tonight. I don't care if they do screw him and take it tomorrow (well, I do care, but I digress)..he's a Champion for one night, at least. I'm *really* looking forward to Raw tomorrow night. Well, Glenn..know there are at least two of us out here who are happy..even if it is only angle advancement..right, Elentari? (For those who don't know, she's my Best Friend *Waves* Love ya!) Anyway, I was not too thrilled with the Pay Per View in general, but the last two matches more than made up for the rest of it. I thought Glenn put in a great showing..he impressed me much more than Austin did. The Austin-marks always say he's such a great wrestler, but honestly, I haven't seen much more than a stunner, some punches and kicks in his routine. At least Kane has more moves than *that*. Well, I'm too lazy to recap the match tonight, but I will write more after Raw, when we see what happens. Suffice it to say, Mankind came in to hit Austin with a chair and help Kane, and Undertaker came in and..(this is the weird part) poured the gasoline Kane was going to use if he lost on the Ref to "revive him" (he'd been "knocked out" earlier). Now at this point Austin was juicing all over the place, so either Taker wanted Kane to win for some reason, or he didn't realize that Austin was bleeding..which seems unlikely. Lots of unanswered questions, here. More on this tomorrow..

My Thoughts For 6.22.98:

Wow, another big Kane night! *g* They really went all out setting the stage for Austin vs. Kane at "King of the Ring"! I was very happy! However, before I start talking about what happened, I'm going to go on a little rant here. Something has been bugging me for quite awhile, and since this *is* my page and I'm feeling like a mega-b*tch today, I feel I should be allowed to get it out in the open. Okay, ready? Here goes.

Disclaimer: The following views are mine alone (unless you're one of the seemingly 1/2% who agree). If you are offended..so sorry.

*Rant On*
I'm sick and tired of hearing people say horrible things about Glenn Jacobs! Look, if you dislike Kane as a character, more power to you. Talk trash about Kane all you want, but when you start bad-mouthing the man behind the persona..someone you DON'T EVEN KNOW, that's going a little too far. Now, I haven't met Glenn either, but I know of people who have, and they say he's a very nice person. I know I for one would give anything to meet him just once, but before I get too far off track, my main point was that people call GLENN all kinds of names, and some even *blame* him for Mark's recent ankle injury! Come on! The man is a professional! I don't think he set out to deliberately *hurt* Mark. Get real, and give the guy a break!
*Rant Off*

Okay..*peeking out from the wreckage*..If any of you are still here, let's get on with the good stuff. First..I can't believe Kane *talked*! I knew he was going to be using a voice box thingy..and when I heard that, I expected it to sound really silly, but I thought it was pretty cool. You know me, though..I was more interested in trying to hear his *real* voice through the distortion, and I believe I've got a good idea how he sounds. *Mmmmm* Okay, I won't start this time, I promise..

Where was I? Oh yeah, anyway..McMahon comes out..talks for AGES about the match at "King of the Ring" and how Kane has had such a terrible life. Finally, he gets around to asking Kane to speak for the first time. Here are Kane's first words.."If I don't win the title, I will set myself on fire." Hmmmm..What's going to happen, do you think? *g* So..Paul Bearer is shown in his home saying "Why?", and Kane leaves.

Later on, Kane has a match with Road Dog..and he pretty much smashes him like a bug. Let's see..He throws him into the corner..some knee lifts and punches by Road Dog. Kane throws him off..runs over him, throws him into the turnbuckle, then a big boot. Road Dog is then down and being kicked by Kane..a vicious clothesline..then some choking and punching..knee lift..punch..and another toss into the turnbuckle. Road Dog kicks Kane in the face a couple of times, only to get more knee lifts and punches. Road Dog punches Kane a few times, and clotheslines him over the top rope, but Kane lands on his feet. Then Kane jumps back into the ring, goes to the top rope and bowls R.D. over, but he comes back with an elbow to the face, and some kicks. It's not enough, though..and Kane goes to chokeslam him..low blow from Road Dog..but Kane chokeslams him anyway, then tombstones the heck out of him. 1..2..3..and Kane wins. *Woohoo* Off he goes up the ramp..and I'm trying my darndest not to comment on his..umm..never mind. I promised I'd be good. (Psst..hey Elentari..were you thinking what I was thinking? *EG*)

Next, we see Taker break into Paul Bearer's house and beat the crap out of him *again*. He says something like "Did you think I forgot where you live?". Wow, he looked HOT! Okay, so I lapsed..sorry..:> Then we see Kane destroying the locker room, while Mankind tries to calm him down. He was very upset! I felt bad for him..:(

Okay, let me just fast forward through the other stuff..HHH vs. The Rock (Rock wins), etc, etc..Here's poor Kane again..sitting on the floor rocking. Awww..I just wanted to hug him! Poor guy..Fast forwarding..Mankind talks abut Taker and other things..wrestles Billy Gunn..wins the match..goes back looking for Kane, but he's gone..Sable comes out..Austin comes out..Sable leaves..Austin talks..accepts the "first blood" stipulation on the match with Kane Sunday (which I forgot to mention above..oops). Kane comes back out to pyros..tilts his head, throws his hair back (ooooo baby) and his arms up, and...a ton of blood pours down on Austin's head! Yuck! Then he talks again.."Austin, this Sunday the blood on you will be for real." I hope so..I may be the only one on this Earth, but I want Kane to win it..Anyway, one more pyro..Austin looks po'ed..The End! Talk to you again after the PPV!

My Thoughts For 6.15.98:

I'm uhh..speechless..sort of. I don't know about the rest of you, but I thought last night's Raw was great! Hmm..as I was watching it, I had so many thoughts and things I wanted to say about Kane. Let me review the tape a moment and try to get that gush of thoughts back..

Okay, the first thought that comes to mind is how Glenn becomes more and more attractive to me every week. (Yeah, I know..like you care :P) Anyway, I know he wasn't very attractive as Isaac Yankem (he wasn't supposed to be), but from the Fake Diesel and onward to Kane, he's just *hot*. It's the arms and the hair (among other things..ahem) that really get me going.

Anyway, on to Raw/WarZone. In the beginning of the show, he didn't do much but come out and stand behind Paul Bearer while he told a bunch of lies. Then came the Tag-Team Royal Rumble (that's what they kept calling it, anyway)..which I honestly didn't pay much attention to. Well, I did..but I was only watching Kane, so I couldn't tell you what anyone else was doing. It's not like it mattered anyway, since we all knew it was going to be Kane and Mankind left in the ring at the end, and that's just what happened.

Okay, excuse me for lapsing again, but I just have to say this..there is something so *endearing* about the way Kane reacts to Paul Bearer. Yeah, I know Paul Bearer is a heinous human being, but still..Kane just becomes..humble..when Paul talks to him. You have to give Glenn this much, he does a great job of staying in character totally! I love the way he kind of tilts his head sideways and flips his hair back. So sue me, I'm a huge Kane mark. :P Back to the tape for a moment..and I'm hyperventilating at that little head roll thing he does while Bearer is talking after the Tag match. *gasp..pant* I've got it BAD! Help me, Elentari!! Oh that's right, she can't help me either. At least I know two other women who find Kane very stimulating. Hey, feel free to drop me a line and tell me we're not the only ones. Are we crazy? Wait! Don't answer that! Nice view of Kane while Mankind is on his knees in the ring. *smirk* Watch the tape if you want to know what I mean. I've already been way too bad during these notes. It's a good thing you can't read my *really* bad thoughts...ahem. By the Gods, I need screen captures from this Raw!

Okay, I'll try to stop..*wiping off huge grin and getting serious* Anyhow, the "match" is on and Kane and Austin lock up, fighting up the ramp. A bunch of punches and chokes and a body drop by Kane. This goes on for a bit..meanwhile Paul Bearer locks himself in the cage, thinking he's safe. Surprise! (not really) 'Taker comes through the bottom of the ring and really lays into Bearer, who juices big time. Kane climbs to the top of the cage to try and get in. Austin follows, they brawl on top of the cage, and we fade out..*sigh* Well, that was fun! I can't *wait* till King of the Ring!

My Thoughts For 6.7.98:

Well, another Raw has come and gone, and it looks like Kane is sort of teaming up with Mankind. Call me a mark, but I was surprised when Kane came out of the casket and Mankind came out from underneath the ring to attack Austin. The only thing that irked me was that according to the results I read on the 'net, Undertaker was supposed to come out and help Austin, then the two of them would "clean house". Obviously, they cut the tape before this happened. I was *not* happy. Oh well, we'll see where this goes next week.

My Thoughts For 6.3.98:

This is where I'll deposit my thoughts about Kane and the direction this whole Kane/Undertaker angle is taking. It will be updated whenever I have anything new to say..however often that may be. Okay..to begin with, I'm beginning to feel like the only WWF fan in the entire world who actually likes this Undertaker vs. Kane feud. Everywhere I go on the 'net, people are complaining about how dull it's all become..how sick of it they are. I also have a *very* hard time finding people who actually like Kane/Glenn Jacobs. Why is that? People say he sucks as a wrestler?? That I just don't get. He's just as good as anyone else in the federation..if not better. He's also a very strong man! His arms are incredible! I love both Undertaker and Kane. I love both he and Taker equally! The only one in the entire WWF that's even close after that is Chainz.

All that aside, I would absolutely love to see Undertaker and Kane team up to fight! That would be just awesome. Together there would be no one that could stop them. As for Paul Bearer, I've got nothing against him, but I do believe that in the future we'll find out that he was the one responsible for the fire that killed their parents. Then what? I guess he'll go back to managing Mankind or something, which is just fine with me. That, in my opinion..is where this angle is headed.

One other thing, for now. I hear that Jakks toys is or will be making the new Kane action figure *without* a mask. Now, back when I heard that..I expected Kane to lose to Vader at "Over The Edge", so it would make sense for them to do so, but that didn't happen. I still believe that in the near future we'll see Kane unmasked. Although right now, how or when it happens is still a mystery.
