I have always been a fan of the superb comedian since I can remember but over the last year or two it has become an obsession. I have so many favourite programmes and films that he has starred in but here are a few of my favourites. I love Rik Mayall Presents.. Briefest Encounter and think he looks at his best in it!! Also Dancing Queen, which he is great in, the all time greatest Bottom and The Young Ones and of course not forgetting Bring Me The Head Of Mavis Davis and Shock Treatment (where he actually sings!! Brilliant!). And finally not forgetting The Comic Strip Presents… My favourites must be Mr Jolly Lives Next Door and Dirty Movie. Despite my favourite two, I love all the Comic Strip Presents… I recently managed to find the Bad News and More Bad News, along with Five Go Mad In Dorset and Five Go Mad On Mesculin videos in a boot fair for £1 each. As you can imagine I was very happy as most Rik fans I talked to on the day can tell you!!!

As I feel that Rik deserves a fan club I decided to try and create one and was really happy with the amount of emails with people requesting information. I will try and make it professional as possible but please bear with me, as I am seeking tips from other fan clubs to try and make it as interesting as poss.
Anyway, so the inevitable question, why do I like Rik Mayall??????
Many people ask me this question including my friends who seem to think I'm crazy and haven't experienced the excellence which is Rik!I think the answer has to be everything about him! He has a great sense of humour which instantly appeals and it is real and not just for show. Many comedians seem to have a huge sense of humour on stage or in programmes but personally are dull.
This combined with his good looks (I'm sure many people would agree??!!!) make Rik who he is!
Of course I'm not saying that I don't like other stars as well but as they fade Rik always stands out to me.
So, this is why I like Rik.
