After a series of romantic movies like ShahJahan and Youth,Vijay now tries his hand on an action movie with Bhagavathy. The movie provides action, romance and sibiling love.....

Bhagavathy(Vijay) a tea stall owner, adores his younger brother Guna who he hopes will be a doctor and supports for his brothers education in medical college , while running his tea stall in a court complex, where the mother of Anjali(Remma Sen) a judge (Semma) works. Anjali & Bhagavarthy later fall in love after a few meetings. While his brother Guna falls in love with the daughter of a minister Eeshwarapandian(Ashish Vidyarthi).Eeshwarapandian coming to know about this has Guna beaten up. With the help of Bhagavathy, Guna and the girl finally get married. The couples married life doesn't last long when Eeshwarapandian have Guna killed and also tried to kill his own daughter, the girl comes to Bhagavathy's house to seek refuge. This turns Bhagavathy into a rowdy who protects his brothers wife who is now pregnant with his brothers child and determent to see that the unborn child is born safely into this world. Easwrapandiyan on the other hand want to kill the child and the mother and Bhagavathy challenges Easwrapandiyan that will not happen and that the child will be born safely. How Bhagavathy does that forms the rest of the story.

The movie has Vijay doing action and styles similar to Superstar Rajnikanth although unbelievable it keeps us entertained throughout the movie. The actor who plays Vijay's brother almost looks like him. Reema Sen acting in this movie after Minaley has no chance to show her acting skills. While Vadivelu who is Vijay tea stall sever provides good homour, Ashish Vidyarthi (with a silly hair wig) competes with Vijay to give a good performance for his role. Dewa's music has a mixture of Ghana and sentimental tunes which is very common in Vijay's recent movies which proves to be a successful formula. The song "KAI KAI KAI", "ALLU ALLU" & "JULY MARALGALEY" stands out. Vijay once again proves that he can perform in a verity of roles with BHAGAVATHY. This movie will appeal to those who like to see Vijay as action hero.
