Atfer making ANBEY SIVAM Kamalhasan decided to use his co star to act in his screenplay in NALLA DHAMAIYANTHI like the former, NALLA DHAMAIYANTHI is also a comedy movie. the movie follows the journey of an indian cook stranded in Australia.

Ramji (Madhavan) is a an innocent, illiterate brahmin cook from Palakaddu. The marriage of his sister is arranged but he is unable to give the dowry as promised, a guest at the wedding suggest madhavan to take up a job offer by a rich tamilian in australia. and so his sister's marriage takes place and he promises that he will pay up the dowry as soon as possible. He decides take the job offer and he flies off to australia. in the flight some funny situation arises when he tries to use the washroom.Finnaly the plane land in Melbourne and he heads to the house of the rich tamilian only to find that the person had passed away. He also loses his passport and visa. While worring about his current situation he happens to rescue a spastic child of a tamilian restaurant owner(Srimaan), and his wife (Anu Hassan) They take pity on his situation and decide to offer him a job at thier restaurant as cook. But soon the Australian police and immigration are after him because he has no proper documents. Iivan ( a friend of Sriman) is srilankan tamil who had managed to get a PR status in australia, suggest that madhavan 'marries' his(Iivan's) fiancee Damaiyanthi (Geetu Mohandass)(also a srilankan who is now a autralian citizen) and to show prove that Madahvan had married Autralian citizen so that he can come a citizen too. After much hesitations Damaiyanthi agrees to the mock marriage............... what will happen next forms the rest of the story. Watch the movie to find out!

The movie has many funny sitautions espcially when madhavan and geetu pretend to be a loving husband and wife couple to fool the authorities. Both of them also impess with thier dialogues delivery in thier character's respective slangs. Madhavan puts aside his romantic look to look like an innocent, dumb cook. Geetu Mohandass looks cute and bubbly is also good in showing emotions and facial expression, she has beautiful eyes too. She had acted as a child artiste in the movie En Boomakutty Ammavukku as a adpoted child to Satyaraj and Suhasini. Sruthika's chatacter is confusing as we are not sure if she is interested in Madhavan or loves her finacee. Sriman & Annuhasan impress as concerned and loving parents of a handicap child. A very special prise should be given to the child who acted as a spastic he is very good in acting as one and it is very believable and convincing. All other chraacters also did good.

The songs are melodious and soothing to the ears. Kamalhassan who had sung the song Stranded In The Strrets is very good with a mixture of english and tamil lyrics.
