After the recent success of the movie DHOOL Vikram is back again in an action role with SAAMY where he plays the role of Deputy Commissioner of Police. The the movie like DHOOL SAAMY has many actions scenes, fights, car chases to keep his fans entertained.. The movie will keep you on the edge of your seat.
The movie starts of by showing Vikram as a rowdy drinking beer at a wine shop and then dancing to a song , then we learn that he has gone undercover and he introduces himself as AARUSAAMY the new Deputy Commissioner of Police of Tirunelvely city. SAAMY always calls himself a rowdy is always willing to do whtever possible to mantain law and order in the city regardless whether the action is legal or not. He meets the Perumal Pitchai (Kota Srinivasararao) kingmaker/ local rowdy boss. and accepts bribes for not interfering in Peruamal 's illegal business but request Perumal to shift his wine shop away from schools and not to danger or hurt civilians.
Meanwhile Vikram meets Buvana (Trisha) a Brahmin girl from a very conservative family. And they fall in love after a few meetings. After some hesitations Buvana's family finally agrees to their marriage . In the meatime, Perumal Pitchai's people has ordered the people of the city not to go out and close their business for a few days because of clashes between gangs .But the shopowners insist that they want to keep thier business open as usual and request the police to give protection for them and Saamy agrees to do so but on the wedding day the rowdies come and create havoc by killing people and destroying thier properties when all the police offices are in the wedding hall attending the wedding . Someone runs to the wedding hall to inform Saamy about this but waits until he ties the Thali and then informs him about the riot , Saamy and his people immediately leave the wedding hall to go to the scene and find bodies of innocent people lying there and thier family crying for them and accusing Saamy that he never kept his promise to protect them. Samy then heads for Perumal Pitchai's residence and scold him for hurting the people but Perumal hands SAAMY's transfer order to him and informs Saamy that he will be transferred in 7 days , SAAMY then challenges Perumal that he will destroy him and his people Within the seven days. How SAAMY does that forms the rest of the story...........(and you will be surprised on how he does that)
The movie portrays Vikram as a macho strong man delivers his dialogues in a very firm and stern voice, equally good are his actions and fights scenes. Vikram's role in the movie fits his current image trend. Trisha looks very pretty and innocent and show good facial expressions and had improved on showing emotions. Kota Srinivasararao plays a bad villain by threatening and arguing with the hero although he never does anything nasty. Ramesh Kanna is Vikram's sidekick provides some comedy. But Vivek is the comedy highlight of the movie here you se him crticising customs and believes of a particular community. The songs by Harris Jayaraj are very popular now. The song Thrunelvi Alvadaa and Ayoyo Pidichirukku stands out Overall this movie is a very fast paced Action drama with some romance and comedy and it is very entertaining.
