Sunday November 15th 1998
We are still working on getting the best venue for the Convention.
The event will take place either in London itself or in the South of England
close to the Capital. We have had a meeting with Richard O'Brien about the
1999 event and he is as keen as us to make it the best UK event ever.
The date of the Convention may move to Sunday the 31st October
as this
is Halloween itself (it also allows us to explore the possibility of getting a
great venue that would not be available on the Saturday). This shouldn't affect
too many people, as we havent announced the location yet, but if you are
planning to travel a long distance please bear this in mind. We know that a lot
of people travelling from overseas were planning to stay a few extra days anyway.
Tickets are selling quite well, we already have over 130 attendees
registered with
nearly a year to go, the price will increase nearer the event and the only way to
guarantee a place at the event will be to pre-book. There is no guarantee that
tickets will be sold on the day itself, we only had ten places left for 1992 and
1994
sold out a couple of months before the event.
We've also had a telephone call from Anthony Head (Frank, West
End and Tour)
he's said he would love to come along to the Convention if he's in the Country,
Buffy allowing (that's the name of the TV show by the way!).
