The members of "The Shrine" are all members of the Masonic Order.

We are members of the Al Azhar Temple, Oasis of Calgary, Desert of Alberta. There are a number of other units but the Oriental Band is special. We figure, from an unbiased point-of-view, naturally, that we are not only the most colourful, the best looking, but the most humble of all the units. In short, we are outstanding. A bit of attitude is acceptable as long as it fits in harmoniously. We are out there for "those kids" but are convinced that there is room for us to enjoy the experience. Did I mention that we have a special ear for music? We are convinced that there is a "Touch of Magic" when we do our thing.
