This page, for your convenience, has been divided into four sections. These are "Parodies/Humor", "Time-travel-oriented", "Historically-set" and "The 'Angela' Series." Hopefully you'll enjoy everything you see.

Parodies/Humor

Marie's Parody by Sara
-the single most hilarious thing I've ever read. Les attempts to spread disease through New York, a love-struck Dutchy chases Snitch everywhere trying to win his affection, Davy chops up furniture with a machete, and Specs becomes a ballet dancer, among other things. You gotta read it.

Marie's Parody 2 by Sara
-the other single most hilarious (I guess that makes the 'single' part irrelevent, eh? Oh well, so sue me...) thing I have ever read. Blink is taken in by an 'evil blond girl' and her great-great-something grandmother, and Dutchy goes to live with manatees. All this and Jack becomes Ginger Jack with a mission to spice up Denton's life...

Newsies Meet the Spice Girls by Angela and Sara
- a must read for anyone who likes to laugh...the Spice Girls come to New York and wreak havoc on...well...everything.

The Name Game by Beth D.
-Powder's parody, Jack is fallen upon by an inexperienced newsie without Pie Eater's "Macaroni Power" and begins to think his name is Yum-Yum...

Friday the 13th: A Comedy of Errors by Angela
-a hilarious and unfinished parody. I promise you'll laugh. Well I hope so anyway. Point being, it's got everything. You name it. Alcohol, sheep, wool, murder...it doesn't get much better than this!!!

Marie's Camp Parody by Sara
-Marie's back in the groove (I think) and has begun another hilarious masterpiece! This one relates a camp called Camp Wearami (pronounced:"Where am I") and everyone's favorite movie/musical in a rather wacky tale of jailbreaks, alcohol, the use of Chi and, of course, beef! Added 7/12/99 at 12:18 PM (CDT)!

Historically-set

What a Fine Life! by Beth B.
-My first attempt at fanfiction, there are a million things in this story that I would like to change...but I have no time, ever. It's generic, Lynn becomes a newsie, etc., etc...but it's pretty good. I'm not trying to keep you from reading it or something!

Carrying the Banner Through it All by Beth B.
-My second story. Jamie and Matt (Pokey and Lightning) are based on a couple of kids on my brother's old baseball team...it's the story of how Pokey and Lightning run away and become newsies, and the bad stuff that happens because of it, etc.

Marie by Sara
-Marie is a girl living in 1899 New York, and she befriends the "off-limits" newsies, receiving in exchange unwanted affection, a broken arm, and a couple of irate parents.

Powder by Beth D.
-Your generic girl-becomes-a-newsie story...Liza's parents die and she is sent to live with her aunt who treats her like Cinderella (*Beth B. faints momentarily*) and Liza runs away, becoming a newsie and earning a nickname.

Newsies on a Mission by Beth D.
-Spot and Powder are (pretty much) minding their own business when they discover they are sole witnesses to a crime, and the criminal knows it.

Fast Friends by Beth B. and Beth D.
-Powder and Lynn meet each other because of a run in with Nicole, and bcome, you guessed it, 'fast friends'.

Learning to Recieve by Spitfire
-Who is this new girl? Can the newsies trust her? And can she trust them? Perhaps all she needs is a friendship? Crutchy offers it to her, but will she learn to accept it? *summary courtesy of Tuesday*

You Don't Get Your Money Back by Spitfire
-This is a prequel to Learning to Receive, but you have to read it second to understand what's going on. *summary courtesy of Tuesday*

Pokey's Story by Beth B.
-For all of you wonderful people who read "Carrying the Banner Through it All", this is the story of what becomes of Pokey. It's not finished yet. Probably never will be. I just put it up in case you were wondering whatever happened to Pokey.

Tried and True by Beth B.
-Annie McMullen's from the Bronx, where the girls are tough and confident...but she's not. There's nothing worse than being terribly shy and thrust into the spotlight, but you still have to deal with it...and Annie does.

Nothing to Lose by Storm DeSario
-When Storm joined the Bronx Lodging House in Mott Haven, she was asked to write a story about how she got there. Well, this is it: How Storm ended up in the Bronx after her many travels. *summary courtesy of Storm*

A Girl Like That by Storm DeSario
-This is the sequel, in a way, to "Nothing to Lose". Storm's been in the Bronx for a while now, and things are going a soom as they can in the Bronx. Until, that is, an old flame of hers resurfaces and disrupts her life in every way possible. *summary courtesy of Storm*

Fire and Brimstone by Storm DeSario
-The story of how Brooklyn was almost overthrown by the Bronx in 1888. *summary courtesy of Storm*

More So Now Than Ever by Beth B. and Storm DeSario
-Mouse never expected that she'd have to face up to her past in such a way as it returned to her life, but when they do, it's a good thing there's someone around to watch her back.

The Struggle for Liberty (The Revolution) by Storm DeSario
-This is the story of Angelina "Liberty" Andriola, my character in Harlem. Liberty's fiancee, Orion McShane, was murdered under very vauge, mysterious circumstances. In search of re-inventing herself after such a loss, Liberty leaves a beloved Brooklyn for Harlem. A year later, she's suddenly thrown face to face with her love's killer - and discovers half of her life has been a lie. *summary courtesy of Storm*

The "Angela" series

Angela by Angela
-Angela comes to New York, and meets people (like Jack) and stuff. It's a sappy romance, ok? Well, it's not too sappy, Angie can write you know. Just read it! It's a lovely series.

For Everything by Angela
-Ahh, number two in her series. Angie's proud of this one. She achieved emotional growth. Jack and Angela have issues. Sarah is involved.

Impressions by Angela
-Angela's dad wants to meet Jack. Which is easier said than done...

With a Little Help From my Friends by Angela
-Angela's world comes crashing down. This is her depressing story. People told her it made them cry.

All the Lonely People by Angela
-remember Clara from Carrying the Banner Through it All? Well she's in this one too. And she's trying to seduce Jack! Ok not really...Jack is being stupid so he goes to Boston and Angie's there and, well...read it, ok?

A Long December by Angela
-the newest (and finally finished) of the "Angela" series. The DeLancis return to New York for Christmas, and there's nothing Angela wants more than a flawless, picture-postcard Christmas. And she's willing to do almost anything to get it.

Time-travel-oriented

For a Dreamer by Sara
-Marie from the 90's is at a friend's house gushing about her ever- favorite movie (Newsies, of course) when her friends seem to play a trick on her...

Out of Time by Angela and Beth B.
-not written very well (I can say that: I wrote it), but it has a good plot. We're rewriting it but, as you know, we are, er, 'out of time' and therefore haven't worked on it in a while. Angela and Lynn from 1999 go back in time to 1899 and have...problems.

Out of Time 2 by Angela and Beth B.
-the sequel to Out of Time, Mush and Pie Eater find themselves doing the time traveling, and appear in the attic of Angela's new house. Of course, this causes serious problems as well.
