Although due to necessity Sally Spectra continued to knock off designs, she never gave up on her dream to make Spectra Fashions into a leading fashion house.
Sally got her big chance when her ex-employee Clarke Garrison, who was now Forrester designer (and Kristen Forrester hubby), asked her for a $100,000.- loan. Sally agreed to give him the money in exchange for 6 Forrester original designs.
At first Clarke tried to steal Forrester design, but after he was caught snooping in Ridge Forrester office, Clarke created his own original designs and passed to Sally as Forrester originals.
Sally snuck into the Forrester fashion show and was very furious when not even one of the designs Clarke gave her was in the show.
Clarke was reprieved when his original designs well received by the media. Sally, dressed as Mae West offered him to design for Spectra in addition to working at Forrester, using the name Beau Rivage.
