Also, regarding WRITING fanfiction for your character... It's an excellent idea, as it helps you 'understand your motivation.' I STRONGLY suggest doing rewrites, however, as the first draft is never as good as it can be. Fiction will, on occasion, be edited for typos, etc. I personally have three fanfics that are not ready to be posted yet because they need to be rewritten (I'm on the first rough draft, really.
