About John Haywood
A brief autobiography
My parents tell me I was born in 1974, but personally, I don't remember. However, I do remember graduating from St. John's Country Day School in 1993, and graduating Magna Cum Laude from Jacksonville University with a BA in English and a minor in history in 1997.
In addition to having gone to both movies and live theater since an early age, I have done volunteer work for the New Jersey Shakespeare Festival. Additionally, I have studied film both as part of my college major and in an Institute for Humane Studies seminar.
Since college, I have learned to critique over-hyped movies in a single e-mail, faster than a speeding bullet and more powerful than a locomotive. (I think I'm getting delusions of being Superman.) In November 1998, I started Reviews by John as a subscription e-mail service, and created the Reviews by John website in May 1999.
