Ace Ventura- Pet Detective.  Jim Carrey's first major role.  A super funny movie in which Ace has to find the Miami Dolphin's mascot.  A real good laugh. Courtney Cox and Dan Marino also star.  ****

Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls.  Ace is off to Africa on an adventure this time.  I was really excited to see this one, but it is no where as good as the clever original.  This one was a major disappointment for me.  *

Air Bud.  I watched this one with my little nephew and I found it to be more entertaining than a lot of real movies.  A dog that can play basketball than me, it's kind of upsetting.  This one is definitely for the little kids though.  They'll really like it.  *1/2

Air Force One.  This movie was so predictable.  My toddler nephews could figure out what is going to happen next.  There is a good fight scene where Harrison Ford says the classic line, "Get off my plane!"  Glenn Close also stars and I really cant stand her.   **

Almost Heroes. It's a shame this was Chris Farley's last movie because this movie was horrible! Matthew Perry wasn't funny and neither was the late Farley. Don't bother with this one, rent Tommy Boy. 1/2 of a * just because it was Farley's last movie.

Amadeus.  This is an entertaining movie on the life of the musical composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.  This movie shows one of the many theories of his death.  ***1/2

Apollo 13. This is a great movie, directed by Ron Howard, about the ill-fated moon mission starring Tom Hanks, Gary Sinise, Kevin Bacon, and Bill Paxton. I thought this was an excellent movie with no real weak spots. It contains great music from the time period throughout the movie. If you like the movie, read the book, it goes into great detail about the mission. *****                 

Armageddon. My favorite movie in a long time. Willis, Tyler, Affleck, Bushcemi, Thorton and Co. are all great. This was a very entertaining film filled with action but yet the love story between Affleck and the beautiful Liv Tyler was what made this movie good. The Aerosmith music throughout the film is another reason this is a great movie. ****

As Good As It Gets. Helen Hunt, Jack Nicholas, Cuba Gooding Jr., And Greg Kinear star in this movie about the relationship between a waitress, an old germ freak author and his weirdo artist neighbor. Hunt and Nicholas both won Oscar's for their roles. ***1/2

Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery. This movie was very funny with some great lines. I thought it would be a little bit funnier, but I still liked it a good bit. Mike Myers is funny. Elizabeth Hurley, YEAH BABY!, also stars. ***½
