"In Germany, someone threw a rock and it hit me in the face during a performance. I thought it was a cuddly toy or something. It caught me just abouve the eye. It was quite a nasty cut. I had to carry on the show, though, as it was part of a pop festival. If it had been our show, I would have got security to find out who threw it."-A.J.-

"I saw him(his dad) for about two days at Christmas time. That was it. I never saw him again. (He went to pay his dad a surprise visit when he was 18)This guy opens the door and I'm like, 'Is there a Robert McLean home?' He said,'Alex?' I was like,'Whoa! Dad, you recognised me!' I walked in and there was Backstreet Boys stuff everywhere! He'd been keeping up with me since the day I started."-A.J.-

"I was leaning over to kiss a fan and she put her finger through my earing hoop and yanked it out."-A.J.-

"Some of these girls do crazy things. They even go up to uor hotel rooms after we check out and grab our socks and boxers that we left behind. Then they'll whip out our underwear and ask us to sign them. It's completely outrageous!"-A.J.

"I embarrassed myself when we did a photot shoot where I was dressed as The Riddler in this green spandex outfit. I mean, I looked like Jim Carrey! Anyway, I went on stage and introduced our two opening acts dressed like that. The audience went absolutely nuts and all the guys were tripping out They were like,'I can't believe you did it.'"-A.J.-

"I had three really bad things happen to me in one day, and we had a show to do in front of 35,000 people. I had just broken up with my girlfriend, my dog died, and my grandfather went into the hospital. When I walked out on stage I didn't think about anything except me and the fellas making those girls out there smile. I love watching the girls be so happy and just filled with laughter and love. The second I walked off that stageagain, I was all sad."-A.J.-

"I had my first kiss when I was four and I kissed my next-door neighhbor's daughter. Her name was Jennifer and then I ran away."-A.J.-

"I like funny girls who will pop in and say,'Here I am!' It doesn't matter what she looks like, though- really!"-A.J.-

"I'm the king of hotels when it comes to not paying my bill. I'll go to the mini bar, take all the cokes and orange juices and tell them I've not had anything at all when they ask the next morning. I do end up paying for it in the long run. I got away for it for a while, but then they caught on."-A.J.-

"We're really focused on not taking our fans for granted. You can'tget caught up with it because there's no way to please everybody.But when we can, we like to give them special attention. We're just trying to be nice and give something back."-A.J.-

"Being honest,when I see an attractive girl, I have to say thaat the first thing I look at is,well, if she's looking t me, her eyes-but if she's not then... her booty. I watch it go from side to side. It doesn't matter what size it is but... Yeah, I know. I'm a man. I'm sorry."-A.J.-

"We auditioned for like five or six different labels. Then the one label that chose us wasn't even there! We were in a middle school, in a gym. This was before we were ever really known. We just came running in wearing our own clothes, not even wearing wardrobe. It looked like your bunch of average kids running in right off the street. We went over huge."-A.J.-

"I had my heart broken when I broke up with my last girlfriend. I felt horrible. We had been going out for more than three years and I was madly in love with her. I was down for weeks, nobody could even talk to me." -A.J.-

"Recording in another language is kind of cool, kind of a challenge for us. It allows fans to have a little something from us. Who knows what language we might sing in next?"-A.J.-

"Recording in Spanish is more romantic, but I'm still learning the words to the Spanish version, so wish me luck!"-A.J.-
