'Silsila Hai Pyar Ka' is not much different from other movies as far as story is concerned. A rich and spoilt son, who loves girls and parties, falls in love with a girl who is trying to make a career in the big-bad city.

'Silsila Hai Pyar Ka' is a fairy tale romance. Its story is set in today's social environment. Vanshika Mathur (Karishma Kapoor), an orphan who lives with her aunt (Aruna Irani), is a simple middle class girl desperately in search of a job. Eventually, she gets a job with Mr. Sinha (Alok Nath).

Mr. Sinha is widower, who has a son Abhay (Chandrachur Singh). Abhay has grown up with his maternal uncle Rakesh (Shakti Kapoor), a four-time divorcee, whose motto is: "Stay unmarried and lead a bohemian life-style."

Abhay is strongly influenced by his uncle - he is flamboyant, arrogant, spoilt and has never put in a day's work at the family business. Mr. Sinha is obviously perturbed to the point of distress by the life-style his son leads - party at night and sleep through the day.

Mr. Sinha is determined to get his son back on the right track. In order to get Abhay into the office he entices him with the idea of a young female secretary.

His idea clicks and he succeeds in getting Abhay join the office. Abhay meets Vanshika at the office. And, thus starts the love story after some usual hiccups. Vanshika doesn't like Abhay's attitude. She is perplexed, but hopelessly in love. The rest of the film is just like any other Bollywood masala movie.

But it's not just that. There are some unexpected twists, strange encounters with Jabbar Khagoshi (Danny Denzongpa) and unusual events. Johny Lever is in his true element to provide some relief when film seems to go wayward.

Title song 'Silsila Hai Pyar Ka' is good and is being liked by music lovers.
