This is by far the best of the Indiana Jones Trilogy.   With a great cast and simple yet exciting story, you can't fail.  That's exactly what this movie has, and it keeps you interested the entire time.

It all starts when Dr. Jones Senior (Connery) is missing in his attempt to find the Holy Grail.  Indiana Jones (Ford) is called on to pick up where his Dad left off.  He finds his Dad, and they look for the grail together.  How's that for a gripping plot synopsis?

I think bringing Sean Connery into this movie was the best decision that could've been made.  He's perfect as the somewhat pretentious father, who's priorities may have been a little mixed up while raising his son.  In fact the entire cast is good.  It doesn't have any annoying little kids, or whiney women like "Temple of Doom" did.  Instead it has a strong woman played by Alison Doody, who can turn on the sass with the best of 'em.   The casting agent deserves a pat on the back.  Good job dude!

Also I like this story a lot more than the other Indiana Jones movies.  It's simple: They want to find the Holy Grail, and everyone is trying to stop them.  It's funny, and every action sequence is different from the one before.   Whereas many other action films may have a million fist fights, and that's all, "The Last Crusade" has varied scenes, with planes and tanks and Hitler, oh my!   The acting is beautiful, the dialogue is creative and that's about all I can ask from an action movie.

So, if you haven't seen it, which you probably have, rent it and watch it.  Sit back and enjoy one of the truly great action films ever.   It's funny, spontaneous, and touching.  Awww, the neglected son and neglecting father formed a bond throughout their zany adventure.  Seriously though, it's a great movie.
