DIARY of a DOODLE CHRONICLER

Because big-headed kids w/ beady eyes will always rule...

The Kids (#76 is my favorite.) Detail of an 8x10 painting. Lotsa paintings of rock show audiences during '00-'03, inspired by the movie Gimme Shelter(!?)

Just a dream that I keep having...being back in high school at an advanced age. Other popular favorites: being washed away in a tidal wave; picking up a guitar and knowing how to play it.

Well, it's about freakin' time that I had a page devoted to nothing but my late-night doodles...but I haven't done much lately, so have to begin w/ some old stuff, I'm sorry. Check back later, something else might be here. Maybe. For now...

Harlan Van Towne, my hero.
I first drew Harlan in 1998...I detailed his rise and fall in the short story "Green Grass and High Times Forever". His biggest-selling album was Paint Yr. Wagon Black. The single "Smash My Pick-up" was a hit on every chart. I had him die of an overdose (no...wait...it was an underdose!)...I wanted him to be an alterna-country Jim Morrison...

Innocent-eyed girls who love rock are a favorite...

Girls who love rock would wear something like this.

In tribute to the Best ebay Score EVER!

More to come...

Gelly-Roll pens are kinda kewl...

Psychotic Teenage Girls on Daytime Talk Shows...will always be intriguing...

This one time, I made it onto the back cover ad page of the local alt-weekly...Whoo-hoo! Next to "Smoke Pot, Get Paid" and phone sex ads.
