For jealousy is the rage of a man; therefore he will not spare in the day of vengeance.

T his page contains links to some of my fiction; currently my offerings include mostly poetry and a few short stories, which have been written in a period covering some eleven or twelve years. In that time, my style has seen some radical changes: I used to be dark, sadistic, and bitter in my writing, but I've mellowed out in the last few years, with only rare bursts of fire. Enjoy!
Note: When possible, I have included the date of composition.

Ascension What can I say? I was really bitter after someone broke my heart, a recurring theme for me. The story of my life, I guess....
To None, To All A sonnet cycle I never finished.
Tiger, Pt. 2 A little joke, with apologies to William Blake.
Looking-Glass Soliloquy Something I came up with while looking in the mirror.
Blade, a Beauty Another recurring theme with me, namely, murdering the object of my unrequited devotion.
The Kasper Hauser Conundrum Kasper Hauser was a queer personage in the 19th century who was reported to have been an extraterrestrial: he had no ID, no money, and no recollection of who he was. During inquiries into his past, he apparently disappeared almost as quickly as he appeared. I just thought it would have been cool to add his name to this poem.
September, III I periodically name my poetry after the month in which they were written. I'm pretty sure I've written a September or two....
Sonata quasi una Fantasia This incomplete sonnet cycle, although having an elaborate rhyme scheme, is not standard Petrarchan fare. Thusly, I named it after the celebrated composition of one of my favorite composers. I think it works.
November (II) Not much to say here. Just ridding myself of some frustration. Perfect break-up poem.
November (III) The result of having released my frustrations. There is light at the end of the tunnel!
Remorse My pathetic attempt to bring closure to a too-long running animosity. For what it's worth, I bear no ill will.
December I wrote this one night after a particularly nasty betrayal was committed against my person.
January Stretching my abilities a bit, I guess. Trying something new, something out of character. Read it, please, and enjoy!
March Not much to be said about this one. It's more than a little surprising to me how much people really have in common.
To the Son or Daughter I'll Never Have The title says it all!
June (II) No comment
Angel No comment
Really Nothing Else to Say No comment
Absolutely Nothing A pathetic waste of time that you shouldn't even bother reading.
Mermaid No comment
June (III) Basically taking a little Messianic trip.
June (IV) Another one dedicated to my one true love.
August Yet another one dedicated to my one true love.
October I don't know. You figure it out.
November (IV) Um, no comment.
November (V) Don't know what to say about this one. I guess I had a change of heart.
Two Shits about Gio This is a poem I'd written almost two years before meeting my one true love. I guess I'd always known....
Washington Platform No comment.
March (II) No comment.
As We Were Leaving Hell This poem, one of my favorites, was a spin on the whole Orpheus myth. Orpheus was famed as the best poet/musician in Roman mythology, and, apparently, in an effort to win his wife Eurydice back from the realm of the dead, played music so beautiful that Pluto granted his wish, with the condition that he wouldn't look back at her until they left Hades. Needless to say, he did not succeed.
Blue-Eyed Jesus, a Love Poem I wrote this poem in Aruba, and took me over a year to complete. What can I say but that it's very stream-of-conscious? Anyway, enjoy!
June (V) Rarely do my poems have any humor in them, so I wrote this in a spurt this morning. Enjoy!
Blood Poetry An epic poem I started about six years ago, but never finished.
Sometimes We're Wrong A poem I wrote this morning, which I might eventually turn into a song.
There Was Little Indication A poem I wrote several years ago, however in light of the events of the last couple of years of my life it seems a little more poignant now.
White Elephant, Red Herring Can't explain it, but lately I've felt compelled to write political verse.
The Repainted Devil, Part I When I was in high school, I'd composed a whole series of poems involving a serial killer. I've since lost all that work, so this is my first attempt to recreate some of that creative magic I used to wield so easily.
Post-It on the Fridge A poem I wrote a very long time ago that I still love.
The Repainted Devil, Part II Second in the series. See above for description.
The Repainted Devil, Part III Third in the series. See above for description.
The Repainted Devil, Part IV Fourth in the series. See above for description.
Memories of You Not much to say about this one, other than it's among my favorites of my own works. I hope you like it, too.
Soulstorm (Part 1) First chapter of my Soul Reaver fanfic cross-over.
Soulstorm (Part 2) Second chapter of my Soul Reaver fanfic cross-over.
Eulogy sans Praise A story I'd originally written in high school, now tempered with age and experience.
The Duel Another story I'd originally written in high school, marinated to near-perfection.
The Comet Yet another story I wrote in high school, resurrected with a twist.
Origin Hard to describe this one. I like it, though....
