- *** Come on! If you haven't seen this- YOU ARE A DORK! Definitely one of my favorite comedies for the 90's! The story doesn't really go anywhere. I've noticed a good trick the director has made, he makes movies about the interaction of people. Clerks, Mallrats, and the upcoming Chasing Amy all have a love story wrapped up in all the comedy. The plot is very subtle, and it makes a very effective, funny movie. I'm sure after seeing Chasing Amy, Clerks will still be my favorite. It's one day in the adventures of two clerks, the people in their lives, and two dudes just hangin' out- Jay and Silent Bob. These guys are the coolest thing about the director's follow up movie- Mallrats. Jay and Silent Bob are gems, and his films wouldn't be the same without them. Definitely rent this movie! You'll laugh your ass off! Oh, by the way, but shhhhhh: Silent Bob is the director!
