- **** My favorite horror movie (and horror series) of all time. From the creepy opening scene till the chilling climax- a true original that began movies like Friday the 13th, and so on. The first slasher movie, and still the best. If you have seen very few horror movies and have not a slasher film yet- don't miss Halloween. It CREATED the horror movie cliches, not FOLLOWED them. You won't be disappointed. The plot-Mental patient escapes hospital 15 years after killing his older sister at the age of 6. The movie is filled with stuff for horror buffs, creepy Halloween feel and haunting music. John Carpenter's first big-hit, and still his best. Not much can be said but, "LOOK OUT FOR THE BOOGEY-MAN!" I am now going to include a review from a man that has his own Halloween page: From beginning to end, this is one of the most suspenseful movies of all time.
Interesting Facts:
Jamie Lee Curtis's performance branded her as the SCREAM-QUEEN. She was the daughter of Janet Leigh, who starred in Psycho. TV version contains extra-scenes.
