- ***1/2 One of my favorite horor movies of all time. When I saw it at a very young age (I saw many horror movies at a very young age), I thought it was boring. After I hear people calling Night, Halloween, Psycho, and Texas Chainsaw all classics- I thought I'd give it another chance. I was soooo wrong about this the first time I saw it. People get stranded in farmhouse while America is being flooded with the recently dead- Who are mysteriously coming back to life. It doesn't matter that we're never really sure how they came back. What matters is the fun, the suspense, the characters, and its commentary on the human race. Woah, what a scare fest! Plenty of fun for all! People slam the 1990 remake of this classic, but I think George Romero did a fine job updating it, and they both receive the same star rating. This is an early horror film gem.
