WES CRAVEN'S
NEW NIGHTMARE
- *** Part 7 in the "Nightmare on Elm Street" series, but not really. A story of what happens to all the people related in the creating the Freddy movies when they finally kill him off in the story. I don't want to reveal what Freddy really is, and how he's been captured the last ten years in the Nightmare series. The movie's funny, and most of all- Good, fun scares. Wes Craven proves himself as a master of the genre repetitively- People Under the Stairs, this movie, and now SCREAM! Craven is the master. John Carpenter is good, but he doesn't compare to Craven (sorry, I had to do that, even though I love Halloween dearly). I don't wanna give up too much of this movie. It's very good. Ebert gave "the seventh installment of a horror series" THREE STARS (just like me)! Watch the lame-ass series first- especially the good part one.
