THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE

- *** I must be careful in reviewing this movie and its sequals in the series. It's a serious, scary horror movie. And truthfully, horror movies SHOULD scare you. I thought this was a good movie. It starts out with a warning saying the movie is a true story. It, in fact, is not. Tobe Hooper got the idea from a killer named Ed Gein who killed people and wore their body parts in Wisconsin. Five kids are going for a ride up to the country on a summer day, and they bump into a family of inbred cannibals---- and the horror unleashes. While it lacks plot and is interesting enough to watch with friends-BEWARE-it's not spooky and light. It's dark, demented, and scary. The Halloween series is spooky and fun. Friday the 13th series is just plain fun. The production is a little too claustrophobic. So, if you and your friends watch horror movies, I'd say make your own opinion. MY ADVICE- load up on beer.
