TITANIC

- **** When I first saw Titanic, I was definitely moved by it. Problem is, I don't quite feel like such a 14-year-old girl anymore. I wrote more than a favorable review, which I believe, has no business staying on the site... (there are plenty of old reviews on this site where I want to smack myself in the head and say, WHAT THE HELL WAS I THINKING?... I'm working on it.. one at a time.) However, I still stand by the four star review. It's an old-fashioned type romance, particularly weak on plot. If you can get past its hokiness, you are in for a wild ride. The latter half of the film is disaster at its best--action, suspense, and top-notch directing from James Cameron. Truly breathtaking, "edge-of-your-seat" scenes. Aren't you happy you sat through the first half, you'll think. While I can't sit through this sap-fest one more time, if you haven't seen this movie (highly unlikely), give it a try.
