- ***1/2 I'm not even big on westerns, but I found this one very engrossing. Clint Eastwood (who directs this movie) plays a man who used to be a killer, until his wife straightened him up. His days as an outlaw were over. Then she dies, and he has two kids to support. A cowboy comes riding along and speaks of a thousand dollar reward for a kill. Clint saddles up and decides to go out for one more job, which is only the beginning..... "Unforgiven sums up everything I love about the western." - Clint Eastwood. Me, too.
