June 2-4, 2000: L. Frank Baum Festival,
Chittenango, New York. L. Frank Baum's hometown
celebrates its famous son. Guests include
many of the actors who played the Munchkins in the famous
MGM film version of The Wizard of Oz,
and noted Oz author and historian John Fricke. Events include a
Friday night spaghetti dinner, a Saturday
parade and costume contest, craft and memorabilia booths, and

prequel to The Wizard of Oz, based on
