Vivacious Emmy Award-winner Kimberly McCullough has been charming "General Hospital" audiences as the late Anna and Robert Scorpio's spunky daughter, Robin, since August of 1985. Her emergence into a smart, beautiful young woman has been witnessed by long-time viewers of "General Hospital." Kimberly's character made daytime drama history last year when she was diagnosed HIV-positive prior to the AIDS-related death of her true love, Stone Cates. For this performance, Kimberly received her second Emmy Award.

"Positive: A Journey Into AIDS," an ABC Afterschool Special, chronicled the one-on-one research into HIV and AIDS that Kimberly and her co-star, Michael Sutton, experienced while studying for the roles as HIV-affected teenagers on "General Hospital." The special received two Emmy Awards.

Born in Bellflower, California, Kimberly moved around a bit at the beginning. She lived for two years in Huntington Beach, Calif., and then settled for four years in Fresno, where she started grammar school. Then it was a move to La Mirada, where she currently lives, for her continuing education. In 1989 she received a letter from President Bush congratulating her as the recipient of the 1989 Presidential Academic Fitness Award. Along with her singing and dancing studies, she graduated high school as a straight-A student.

Kimberly's first professional work came at the age of seven months, when she did a diaper commercial with Juliet Mills. At the age of five, she was dancing in a trade show at the convention center in Las Vegas. She has since danced on television in "Fame," "Solid Gold" and "The People's Choice Awards." On film, she danced in the movie, "Electric Boogaloo: Breakin' 2." Before joining "General Hospital," she appeared in 18 commercials, dancing in all but two of them.

The acting bug actually bit Kimberly after "The People's Choice Awards." In March of 1985 she started taking acting classes and five months later landed the role in "General Hospital." In 1988 she appeared on stage in the Los Angeles production of "Les Miserables," playing Little Cosette. She also appeared in the film, "Purple People Eater."

In 1989 Kimberly won her first daytime Emmy Award for Best Juvenile Performer under the Age of 23 for the 1988-89 season. She was nominated twice again for an Emmy (1989-90 and 1990-91 seasons) as Outstanding Juvenile Female in a Drama Series. In 1994, Kimberly was nominated for her fourth Emmy in the updated Outstanding Younger Actress category, and again in 1995.

Other major awards for the talented actress include three Youth in Film Awards for 1985, '86 and '87, and two Soap Opera Awards for Best Juvenile Performer. Last year, Kimberly received the first-ever Hollywood Reporter YoungStar Award as Outstanding Actress in a Daytime Drama. Film audiences recognize Kimberly from two notable roles in high-profile feature films: As the daughter of Warren Beatty in "Bugsy" and as Kevin Kline's daughter in "Consenting Adults."

Kimberly has done various recordings as a back-up singer and she has sung in commercials. Her hobbies, besides singing and dancing, are collecting coins, bells and European dolls; listening to the Beatles, Led Zeppelin and reggae music; and spending time with friends. Kimberly is currently dating actor Freddie Prinze, Jr. and has plans to work with him professionally in the near future. Kimberly will be leaving the cast of GH at the end of this year.

STEVE BURTON steve
Jason (Quartermaine) Morgan

VITAL STATISTICS:

BIRTHPLACE: Indianapolis, IN
BIRTHDATE: June 28
HEIGHT: 5'11"
HAIR: Dark blond
EYES: Blue

Versatile actor Steve Burton plays Jason Quartermaine Morgan, the youngest son of Dr. Alan Quartermaine (Stuart Damon), on "General Hospital." Although Jason is the "love child" of the late Susan Moore, he was accepted into the fold as an infant by Dr. Quartermaine's forgiving wife, Monica (Leslie Charleson), and raised as one of the family. Like his older half-brother AJ, Jason attended boarding school for his primary education before returning to Port Charles. But that's where the familial similarities end. "Jason has always been very independent and self-reliant," explains Mr. Burton about his character. "He never wanted an easy ride, or something that he didn't work for." For his convincing portrayal, Steve received the Outstanding Younger Lead Actor trophy during last year's nationally broadcast Soap Opera Awards.

Steve Burton's background is quite unlike that of Jason Quartermaine. Born in Indianapolis, Indiana, Mr. Burton was raised in the Midwest and attended several different high schools in the nation's heartland before moving with his father to California. Before graduating from Beverly Hills High school, "a world apart from the environment I was accustomed to," he emphasizes, Mr. Burton studied drama and was a member of the school's acclaimed Theatre 40.

A very successful career in commercials led to a three-year run on the popular syndicated comedy series, "Out of This World," playing the role of Chris Fuller. Mr. Burton made his daytime drama debut in the recurring role of Harris Michaels on "Days of Our Lives."

A gifted and enthusiastic athlete, Mr. Burton enjoys and excels at virtually every sport, but prefers surfing above them all. Mr. Burton is engaged and makes his home in Los Angeles. He recently won the Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actor.
