(The numbers you see are the number of good songs out of the total song count. They are for actual songs, not simply tracks since many artists enjoy having pointless intros before songs (rap industry and Tarantino soundtracks, I'm talking to you)

---Adore-see Second Best section

Soundgarden
---Superunkown- This CD has some phenomenal songs on it. "Black Hole Sun", "Fell on Black Days", and "Spoonman" rock, but the ends songs keep this from being a great CD. (9/14)

---Rattle and Hum- A great CD that combines live stuff with new stuff. "All I Want is You" is a beautiful song. (11/16)
---Achtung Baby- This CD has a weak ending for a great start. "One" and "Who's gonna Ride your Wild Horses" are gems. (7/12)
---Zooropa- A really disappointing CD. The band was experimenting with the electronic sound they used so well in Pop. This needed more work. (5/9)
---Pop- This is a really good CD for all of the flak it took. They perfect the sound they were working with in Zooropa and come away with a great sound. (9/12)

U.N.K.L.E.
---Psyence Fiction-see Masterpiece section

V

Various Artists
---A Life Less Ordinary Soundtrack-Nice mix of ambient / electronic songs and a couple of oldies, but some of the songs just stink. (11/15)
---Beavis & Butthead Do America Soundtrack- Some good new stuff from the Red Hot Chili Peppers & White Zombie here, but this CD gets bogged down with too many similar sounding rock songs. Engelbert Humperdinck's rendition of "Lesbian Seagull" is hilarious and classy. (8/12)
---Batman & Robin Soundtrack- This is actually a pretty good CD for one of the worst movies of all time. The Smashing Pumpkins, R. Kelly, Jewel, and Bone Thugs & Harmony all have really good songs here. This CD effectively balances harder rock songs with the softer ballads and it gives this CD nice diversity. (9/13)
---Batman Forever Soundtrack-A really disappointing CD for all of the hype it received a couple of years ago. Its drawback is all of the horrible soft songs they have. If you think that soundtracks are indicative of the movie's tone, then while listening to this disc you must think that the movie is a huge tearjerker rather than a bang-em up action flick. U2, the Offspring, & Method Man all have good songs on this paltry disc. (7/14)
---Blade Soundtrack-The first 9 songs here are rap and they basically stink, the last 6 are electronic and are spectacular. Look for this disc used and listen to the last six. (8/15)
---Boogie Nights Soundtrack-There are some great disco tunes here, but also quite a few lemons. Songs from the Commodores, Melanie, and ELO all rock. (9/12)
---Can't Hardly Wait Soundtrack-see Masterpiece section
---Clerks Soundtrack-This CD has some fun songs on it like "Chewbacca", but is also has some really bad metal/ alternative songs. Alice in Chains & Bad Religion contribute good songs. This one's worth a look if you can get it used, but it's not worth $15 new. (9/13)
---Clueless Soundtrack- There is some pretty cool stuff, some mediocre stuff, and some terrible stuff on this disc. This CD loses its luster after awhile with all of the similar sounding alterna-pop songs. Counting Crows, Radiohead, the Smoking Popes, and World Party (with a cool cover of a David Bowie song) all have good songs to offer us before the CD gets old. It's worth a look---pick it up used. (10/14)
---The Crow Soundtrack- see Second Best section.
---Dazed & Confused Soundtrack-see Second Best section.
---Desperado Soundtrack-This CD is packed with great guitar music from a great movie. This CD is chock full of some kicking mariachi music that will make you want to get up and dance about. Los Lobos & Tito and the Tarantula are the groups that play most of the music for this really cool CD. Pick it up! (14/17)
---Even More Dazed & Confused Soundtrack-see Second Best section.
---Even More Romy and Michelle's- see Second Best section
---Forrest Gump Soundtrack- This is a great 2CD soundtrack with the first CD being a whole lot better than the second. Disc one (13/16). Disc two (9/15)
---Grandson of Frat Rock-see Second Best section
---Good Morning Vietnam Soundtrack-see Second Best section
---Jackie Brown Soundtrack-see Second Best section
---Kids Soundtrack-All of the songs by Folk Implosion here are wonderful, everything else sucks. Seriously. (8/13)
---Pulp Fiction Soundtrack- see Second Best section.
---Reservoir Dogs Soundtrack- see Second Best section.
---Romeo + Juliet Soundtrack-Too many soft or dance songs here. The CD's saving grace is the songs by Radiohead, Everclear, and Garbage. Buy it used if you like those bands (that's what I did). (7/13)
---Romy & Michelle's High School Reunion Soundtrack- see Masterpiece section
---Scream 2 Soundtrack- Boy, when this soundtrack is on, it's ON and when it's off, BOY is it off. Dave Matthews Band, Everclear, and Tonic's songs are great and overshadow the few clunkers of songs there are here. Even Sugar Ray's song is good (I swear it's actually Weezer singing it, though). (9/15)
---Singles Soundtrack- This CD has great songs by Pearl Jam, Screaming Trees, & the Smashing Pumpkins, but some other songs are pure crap. Even Hendrix's song is somewhat tame. Pearl Jam saves this CD single-handedly with their 2 songs. "Breathe" by them is a fantastic song. (9/13)
---Spawn Soundtrack-A pretty horrible CD to go with a pretty horrible movie. Lost of real bad big beat techno stuff here. Filter, Marilyn Manson, & Orbital have 3 of the pretty good songs here. They can't save it from being rather worthless, though. Don't buy this disc, borrow it from a friend. You'll thank me for it. (6/14)
---Wayne's World Soundtrack- This disc has some really good rock songs, and then some really bad rock songs. Alice Cooper, Jimi Hendrix, Queen, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers contribute some great rocking tunes for this worthwhile CD. (9/13)

---X-Files- Soundtrack to the TV Show- This disc has some cool, quirky songs, but it also has some really terrible rock-alternative songs. Soul Coughing, Nick Cave, and Danzig all have great songs. (8/14)
---X-Files- Soundtrack to the Movie- This CD has some phenomenal songs from the Cardigans, from Soul Coughing, and from Oasis' Noel Gallagher. Worth a look. (10/13)
---X-Games Soundtrack vol. 3-This disc has a good mix of electronic and rock songs, some of the metal songs get a little redundant and old, though. (8/12)
