So why care about Pooh?

Fall pooh

I can't imagine myself, or any other child, growing up without the magical adventures A.A. Milne put into "Winnie-the-Pooh" and "House at Pooh Corner." Christopher Robin's world of make-believe is what most kids imagine with their own stuffed animals when they're really supposed to be taking a nap.

I still have my first Pooh doll; he's been with me since before I can remember, but my little, beat-up stuffed animal isn't why I stick with Pooh. I would love to float to the treetops with a balloon and sit by a stream playing Pooh Sticks for hours. On a more academic scale, I believe Milne to be one of the greatest authors of this century.

So, if you love well-written literature, or you just wish you could go on an "Expotition to the North Pole," Pooh is for you!

Great Pooh Quotes

So why quote A.A. Milne? For the first part of this answer, drag your eyes upward a little and re-read. But it's more than just well-written literature. Pooh quotes display a fresh, simple view of the world where every aspect of life, no matter how bizzare or commonplace, is treated with the same calm acceptance. No one stresses out in the Hundred Acre Wood, even when getting stuck in Rabbit's hole for several days or finding one's house has been flooded during the night. Pooh and pals don't complain or cry...they throw a party.

If we all accepted life's ups and downs with the same attitude as Pooh, the world would be a happier place...with less ulcers and headaches. So check out some small pieces of Pooh Wisdom.

My Pooh Article

Pooh writing

Two years ago, on the occasion of Pooh's 70th birthday, I wrote an article
about Pooh's humble beginnings, his Disney incarnation,
and what the Bear has meant to his fans.
