But answer me this question for me please, Can a radiologic techologist such as yourself work towards a higher degree such as a masters or a becoming a rediology specialist? I am a transcriptionist with no knowledge of radiology but as I expect to recieve such work in the future I find ur site is a very useful starting point. May I suggest that a couple of diagrams showing the x-ray machine and where the patient is placed between the emitter? and film would help as would diagrams to illustrate the most common positions for each type of radiography as there are many people, who may have never needed to have an x-ray and or even seen an x-ray lab setup. a really useful site for me. thank u sunil k nair

Hello Carl. Just wanted to say again that you have done a nice job on this, the Rad Tech program web site. I'm going to BCC here in WA next week to interview for a seat in the class starting this summer. (Quite competitive, so I've been told). I found your site to e quite informative and I'll be boning (pardon the pun) up on some terms and procedures you mention on your site. Did want to ask whether you have considered putting this great web site in the major stream of the information web? I couldn't remember the name of your web site and it wasn't until I found an old scribbled note that I was able to dial your site up. Wo ld be nice if you could be accessed from Google, Dogpile or Yahoo. (For all I know, you probably are, just didn't know how to ask for it). Keep up the good work! Roy.

very informative. I just started "The chest" and noticed the following statement ....and fluid in the lungs as a result of CHF. Of course, there is fluid in all lungs - air. As I recall from physics air and liquids are fluids. A term commonly used in x-ray is "air-fluid" levels. However misleading we know what is meant when these terms are used Keep up the good work. A great site. I'm trying to get into the Rad Tech program being taught at Bellevue Community College in WA. This site really does a good job at explaining how the program works. I would like to ask whether you know of the x-ray tech program at BCC, is it reat, good, or so-so. (I have nothing to compare it too and I can't seem to locate any literature that rates colleges that teach the subject. Keep it up! I'll be back to get more information as time goes on!!

I have been on line for over 2 hours trying to find an x-ray of a pelvis to compare with mine because I am certain that my doctor is totally inept. I have a disrupted sacroiliac joint due to injury that was very clear to me in the x-ray that my orthopaed st missed. I have switched doctors and will bring it to my new one's attention. This was the first x-ray I found (2.5 hours later!) that was of any quality and without degenerative or fusing properties in it. I thank you. - Andrea

Great Idea, and well written. I'm a radiologist with a new computer, and enjoyed finding this 'site'. Comments: under 'Xrays' you imply that gas in the bowel is a bad thing, try to find another way to say that. Also, under MRI, physics (no, I didn't s ip), I believe the word is "precessing", not processing. In general, everything I read made sense and sounded like a friendly, caring person explaining things in a way which is not patronizing. GOOD WORK!

Great explanations of procedures in understandable terminology. I would like to see you expand the information about education and the NEED for Licensing.
