A, iron, manganese, phosphorus. The main constituents of dandelion root are taraxerol, choline, levulin, inulin and pectin. Out of these inulin is present in the largest amount-up to 25% may be found in the root. Inulin is currently used in modern medicine for the function of the kidneys. Inulin yields sub-variants of fructose and glucose, both naturally-occurring sugars, when subjected to acid hydrolysis.
