What is #Depressed_Channel?

It's a chat group for and about depressed people.People who understand depression or want to understand it. Perhaps you are depressed. Or someone you know, a friend, or a family member is depressed. We welcome participation by all people affected by depression, directly or indirectly. We share experiences, and encourage each other towards appropriate medical and personal solutions. Our aim is to make depressed people feel safe in this channel, and to show that there is HOPE for a productive happy life, even with depression.


What is depression?

Depression is a disease-a mental illness. It may be inherited; or, it can be temporary, caused by a difficult life situation or crisis. It is controllable with medication or therapy. It affects both the person who has it, and his/her close family, friends and work or school situations.
