I can't believe it, no one FOOLED me today they didn't even try. OH well next year I'll get them. Mom was always the good one for that, first thing when she woke up she'd do something. It was such a beautiful day today, I worked in the yard some more, it is really beginning to take shape. Robert and Crystal got stuff for a BBQ and fixed dinner for all of us, David and the girls came too.

Another great day, in the mid 70's, so I worked in the yard again. I got all my bowls planted, the yard weeded (sorta) and the back yard mowed. I called and talked with mom and asked her if she wanted to come over for awhile but she said no, it was too hot for her, well at least she didn't complain about talking to me.
I am having new gutters put up Thursday so I spent most of today scraping and painting the facia boards. I even started putting up cedar shingles on a new exterior wall, it was actually fun. I feel so good being able to do things this year, sometimes I over do but I don't care it invigorates me working.
I'm sure most of you have been just as busy as me with their TAXES, that dreaded word. Between getting those done, starting my program and spending morning until dusk doing yard work I am pooped, all the time. I realized last night that my body hurt more than usual because I am 46 years old! not 26 and my poor old body has been through a lot and my energizer bunny is older than me and this happens with age and so on and so on...SMILE... Aging isn't too much fun. My gutters are done, now for the sink hole in my drive way, they will be here this week to do that, for joy. I am going to see mom tomorrow, she has been in a great mood all week so I am going to chance it, hopefully she'll stay in one when I leave her again.
I have been to see mom several times this past week and things have not changed with her. She is still being mean to the staff, staying up very late and refusing to get up in the morning like she did with me, cussing them out when they try to get her up etc. They are trying to get her sleep pattern re-established again but she isn't helping at all. She is suppose to see the foot doctor this morning, if she gets up. I am going to have her up here Sunday for Easter dinner, early, then take her back, I sure hope it goes better than last time she was up. I have been spending a lot of time outside doing my yard and gardens, we have had wonderful weather lately.
HAPPY EASTER ALL. I hope you all had a wonderful time. We had a big family dinner and Easter egg hunt, inside and outside. Mom was here for several hours too. She was so sick. When I picked her up the nurse was kind enough to tell me that mom had been throwing up all night and several times this morning and had diarreha too. Her appetite was terrible because her tummy hurt so she didn't eat anything, not even jello. She did eat her banana though and I took a bunch to the NH for her too, along with some Pedialite. They hadn't given her any Immodium even though it is doctor's orders at the onset of a 'loose' stool. Her bottom and stuff is so red and sore from not being cleaned well and having wet pads left one too long. She has a Case Conferance on the 27th and boy are they all gonna hear from me! I am very close to bringing her back home. I feel fine now days and think I could handle it again. I know that mom would be better cared for at least. Why it is so hard for them to take proper care of a person is beyond me. I understand there is a shortage, too few aides for the residents, however they know this when they hire on. If they can't do the job with some amount of compassion and concern for these people why take the job, the money isn't that great of a motivator.
Boy, I have been so sick with whatever mom had, it's terrible. The whole family got sick starting Monday and we are just getting over it. Mom is doing much better too. I did go to her Case Conferance and had it out with them, time will tell if it did any good or not. FINGERS ARE CROSSED.
