here, i would like to highlight my recent travels and future destinations. this is a new section that i am having. its kinda like a diary for my remembrance...

17th oct 99: penang island, 2 nights. butterfly park, batu ferringhi beach, lots of chinese temples, procession from temple to jetty for chinese festival, see chulia street prostitutes (see only okay?!), eat free 'rou kan' at friend's friend's shop, thai and burmese temples

20th oct: teluk intan, 1 night. buying teluk intan biscuits, visit library, lots of primary and 2ndary schools, to the seaside, pasir salak, met jin samsudin there (actor with p. ramlee and film director), shopping complex and of course the leaning tower of teluk intan

6th nov: penang island and ship cruise, 2 nights. penang pc-fair, kek lok si temple, lots of eating (those greedy friends of mine), ship cruise on m/v empress; gambling, 3 hours of karaoke, nice buffets, small stupid swimming pool, very nice view, new experience (never been on such a big ship before), and don't forget nausea and sea sickness, ugh....

14th nov: microfest, pwtc. not many things to see, few people, boring boring

21st nov: pulau ketam. wet day trip. jalan2 with juniors and friend. fishing village with beautiful houses and mutated dogs,  cheap sea food

26th nov: tanjung rambutan, 1 night. visit to mental hospital and its vegetable and chicken farm, occupational therapy workshops, acute wards, normal wards, predischarge wards, long term stay wards, security wards. jalan2 at night in ipoh with lim kok and 3 coursemates. good food, snooker, pool, bowling, pub, drink till nasty headache the next day. love at first sight (not me lah).

28th nov: muar and melaka, 1 night. stay overnight in muar with chee kiong and ah teck, met lee chun for dinner there. in melaka, visit stadhuys, a famosa, st paul's church and hill, movie at mahkota parade with nyuk ling, jonker street antiques.

5th dec: dog show in upm. i hate dogs. horse show in the equestrian center, sg besi. boring horses

11th dec: virtual i-generation party. techno rave party at embassy, kl with lots of freebies.

12th dec: bukit jalil. some christian faith healing thing that i don't really want to go but then nothing better to do, so just go lah!

31st dec 99: subang airport. biggest rave party of the year, supposedly. lots of people. fantastic techno music with 4 different stages. main stage outdoors on the airport runway with lasers, paragliders and planes flying really low showering us with confetti. woo.... inside there is this cool lady who was rapping to the music and she was wearing this funky year 2000 glasses, cool ! expensive food and drinks though.

hari raya, jan 2000: desaru, 1 night. desaru is a very beautiful beach. the hotel we stayed has a nice view from the balcony and the swimming pool is so nice, with a view of the sea. we went to another hotel for dinner and the food there was so good, the live band was great and the walk to the restaurant was through this walkway between 2 rows of building and when i look upwards, the sky was so beautiful with lots and lots of stars. the hotel resembles a fairy tale castle and that is what we called it. definitely one of my best holidays. we had a chance to drop by kota tinggi waterfall too and there was way too many people there, thousands crowding a small waterfall and i was surprised we had to pay to go in. yucks yeech blech.... also went to johor bahru for cheap shopping computer software.

11th feb 2000: bangkok, 5 days with friend and friend's friends and lecturer. must go see tiger show and go nude beach

march 2000: orang asli village, negeri sembilan, 1 month. rural health posting in some small clinic. boring boring 

april 2000: penang island, 1 month. posting in penang general hospital. lots of chance to visit somebody
