Scott's Living Room

Introduction | Tour

Hello!

I'm really glad you could come to visit. I've been hard at work building this web site for the past couple of years and it's great to know that you are interested in exploring what I've created inside these virtual rooms. I think you won't be disappointed. For once you've spent some time inside my place, you'll probably agree that the World Wide Web is an extraordinary resource filled with a wonderful array of helpful information and new ways of learning about the world around you.

Now one thing I'll admit at the outset is that I haven't spent a lot of time building glitzy graphical interfaces to dazzle your eyes. This is truly a home-spun creation. As I learn more about web design (as evidenced by the growing collection in my web workroom) I'll no doubt want to add a bit more pizazz to increase the pure enjoyment of looking at my pages. But my main goal is to provide information on a variety of things in a format that's both useful and easy to access.

I've created a variety of different rooms in my virtual home, each with a particular theme or subject range. Some rooms are substantial, containing multiple links to collections I've organized inside the rooms. Other rooms are simple, where everything is contained under one "roof." You are welcome to drop by any or all today or come back to visit different ones at other times, as you like. I've found that different rooms match my various moods and interests, and it's easy to get lost for an entire afternoon just exploring. Take your time, enjoy yourself, and please most of all, come back again.

PLEASE NOTE: Although I try hard to stay aware of new links under the many topics contained within my home page, it's a real challenge since the growth of the web has been so tremendous. If you have recommendations for links to add, or if you discover that any of the links on my page are no longer functioning, I'd truly appreciate it if you drop me a line to that effect. I promise to get back to you as quickly as possible, and I'm always grateful for your suggestions.

In addition to my professional uses of the Internet and World Wide Web, I'm also quite interested in making friends with others across the miles and exploring a wide range of interests--personal, professional, or otherwise--and I'd like to share or reflect with others about your own interests. Especially if you're interested in understanding people and human existence, in all of its spleandor, mystery, and curiosity!
