Triathlon: swim, bike, run

Participation in endurance sports or multisport activities is taxing enough on the individual body, without having to deal with a body image problem and/or an eating disorder. The combination of intense physical activity and any eating disordered behaviour (over-exercising, compulsive overeating, vomiting, laxative abuse, diuretic abuse, food restriction and deprivation)can lead to serious physical and physiological (sometimes permanent) damage.

The links below will hopefully provide some practical insight on such topics as exercise physiology, multisport training and nutrition, metabolic function, as well as share personal experiences of training and competing in triathlons, with an ED.
